Good value, excellent leader, we found most of the target birds species and saw most of them very well, excellent accommodation and good food.

Naturetrek Costa Rica trip in Jan 2023, with guide Lenin Duarte. We visited a number of different locations in different parts of the country with different habitats, staying 2 or 3 nights in each place. Group of 10 guests. All the hotels/lodges were very good, though we preferred the less luxurious ones. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with lots of fantastic habitat for birding.

Last minute booking, which went smoothly and was dealt with in a friendly and very efficient manner. Our leaders went out of their way to show us everything of interest in this two centre holiday and indeed we had great experiences which were not in the itinerary. Our hosts at both hotels couldn’t have done more for us, providing the most delicious vegan meals. It lived up to expectation and more!

We haven’t used Naturetrek before, but they did a very speedy and efficient job and any phone calls we made were answered and by a very friendly team, who did as they promised and made us feel that nothing was any problem to them. We would definitely use them again.

A well planned itinerary taking us to the best places in Costa Rica at the right time to see the right birds. The local guide and driver worked well together as a team to help all group members have the best possible chance of spotting an extraordinary range of birds in very varied habitats.

Nature Trek has a good grasp of its client base and understands what the customer is looking for, often before the customer themselves knows what they are looking for. Add into the mix Nature Trek’s habit of employing the best local guides and a nature watching experience emerges which is highly satisfactory, intelligently put together and above all, enjoyable.

The trip comprised two weeks of visiting several different habits in Costa Rica and then exploring to find birds and other wildlife. The transport, accommodation, guide, group size were all as expected. We had a very enjoyable time.

The trip was well organised throughout in a professional manner. The trip on the ground met with expectations from the advertised description of the trip.

Weekend break exploring multiple sites throughout the Forest of Dean looking at wildlife and the unique scenery. Good sized small group. Hotel was superb.

Knowledgeable guides got us fabulous views of Iberian Lynx. The birdwatching was superb too - talon grappling Spanish Imperial Eagles, vulters galore, Hoopoe and I found a Red-rumped Swallow! A very memorable trip.
