Naturetrek. Our guides had to deal with a medical event. One lady needed an operation. The guides managed to deal with hospitals and keep the tour running. Naturetrek were excellent at arranging accommodation and flight alterations for the injured lady and her husbnd.

Cairngorms in January

Birds on the Somerset levels
We had 2 marvellous days spotting many different types of birds on the Somerset levels, expertly guided by Adrian and Jonathan. We found plenty of rare species as well as the more common during the days, and finished with spectacular starling murmurations in the evenings. The hotel in Wells was a good base.

A special holiday
This was a holiday to discover and experience the bird life of The Gambia. We were not disappointed with daily excursions on foot, by boat and by bus led by knowledgeable local guides. Mandina Lodges was a very special place to stay.

Naturetrek provides excellent information about the holiday in print and online with full pre-trip notes and reports from previous trips. Our Naturetrek leader was a great and knowledgeable resource and an invaluable link between us and the local guides.

A birding watching experience with excellent guides, lovely warm accommodation (the weather was cold) and food which was tasty and catered for all my many food allergies and amazing birds what else could ask for.
A bird watching holiday over the Christmas break to Extremadura, Spain. Every effort was made to find different birds by our excellent guides and give us a real taste of the area, which was stunning even the times when the sun did not came out. Everyone was really happy to be there, several having return often, the food was home made and the wine lovely.

Very helpful, we have been with them before and know that I have problems with food and also know that I am not the worlds best bird watcher. I always find the guides they employ helpful, the catering tailored to my needs and I my bird watching skills are improving.

Birds of central Colombia (the tour was called “The Multicoloured Tanager Tour “
Visited a number of sites and spent long days walking on trails and roads. The tour was very successful in terms of our goal, which was finding a wide variety of Colombian birds - and in spending time in a variety of tropical mountain environments, particularly tropical rainforests. Our guide, Juan Manuel Cardona, was really excellent: he was very skilled at locating local species of birds and (importantly) making sure everyone saw every bird...

Our guide, Juan Manuel Cardona, was really excellent: he was very skilled at locating local species of birds and (importantly) making sure everyone saw every bird. He was also quite knowledgeable about the other flora and fauna. Accommodations were very good, as was food. I think at the end we were all quite pleased with the trip. My partner and I were both really glad that we took this tour.

From start to finish, very helpful. The tour was well planned. My partner and I were particularly impressed by the help we received from the tour company in dealing with a specific difficult situation that we encountered: it turned out that our travel insurance did not cover one part of the trip itinerary; the company made alternative and very satisfactory arrangements for us. We will likely use this tour operator again.

Tasmania pure
We had an amazing roundtrip in Tasmania visiting different habitats with a very knowledgable guide. Wildlife sightings were plenty and with lots of different mammals and birds. I can highly recommend this tour to see several Australian key species. Our tour guide was lovely and her enthusiasm for Tasmania infectious. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
