This birding trip lived up to expectations. It included some of the best wildlife watching I have done. The birds were brilliant, especially the hummingbirds. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The Lodge at Pico Bonito was a great place to stay. In all, it was a delightful holiday.

I have travelled with Naturetrek a number of times and will do so again in the future. In fact, since I got back from my most recent trip, I have booked another holiday with them! They are experts in providing wildlife trips.

As always, organised, informative and responsive and provided excellent knowledgeable and personable leaders.

2 weeks in South Africa combining Cricket (SA v Enlgand ODIs in J'burg & Cape Town) with safari in the Kruger and a nature tour of the Cape region. Multi-centred with expert guides on hand. This was an excellent holiday. We saw 300 different species of birds and countless other animals - not just "the big 5'. Can't recommend it enough.

Naturetrek are accomplished operators in the area of wildlife based holidays. Their South African partners were equally skilled at providing expertise on the ground. We were looked after from start to finish.

This holiday was all about winter photography of forest birds in Sweden. The opportunities for seeing and photographing these specialist and often difficult to view birds was excellent and anyone that wishes to see and photograph these rare denizens of the forest will not be disappointed by the Sweden in Winter trip with Naturetrek. Excellent accommodation with good food. Excellent tour leader. What more could one ask for. Superb trip all round with no complaints.

Helpful and friendly

We saw many species of birds and other wildlife in a new country and ate and drank the local food. The Pico Bonito Lodge was very good and welcoming and the staff and guides were very attentive. We saw a variety of habitats during the holiday and the transport worked well due to the good driver. Overall a pleasant experience and good lasting memories.

Arranged everything which worked well even the airport assistance at all connections which is a stressful part of thr journey was good.

Cruise to the falklands, South Georgia and the Antarctic peninsula. Very professional boat crew and leaders. loads of wildlife everyday amazing views and numbers of individuals.

It is a big undertaking and we felt supported all the way.

An 18 night wildlife cruise on board the Ortelius an ice strengthened former research ship owned and operated by Oceanwide Expeditions chartered by Naturetrek. The crew, expedition staff and Naturetrek guides were excellent in their knowledge, desire to ensure everyone experienced the best wildlife experiences whilst making sure of everyones safety and comfort. A trip like this means the itinerary cannot be set in stone asit is dictated by the weather and the wildlife. We were extremely lucky that the weather was kind to us and with a few diversions we saw everything on 'the list'!

Naturetrek are an extremely professional outfit dedicated to providing the best wildlife/birding experience within their control to every client. The organisation of the trip was superb and their tour leaders are extremely knowledgable and are happy to pass on that knowledge in a very friendly manner.

This three weeek trip aboard MV Ortelius took us to some of the wildest, most remote and beautiful places on earth in order to experience some of the world's greatest concentration of wildlife including mammals, cetaceans, penguin colonies and a multitude of other birds. We landed at various destinations including small islands and the Antarctic Peninsula itself using zodiacs. We also did a zodiac cruise amongst the icebergs, landing on floating ice briefly. We walked with guides and had time to simply sit and soak up the wonders of being amidst half a million penguins and other inquisitive wildlife. We enjoyed the sunrise and sunset. Our experiences were truly awesome and utterly memorable.

Naturetrek guides are outstanding wildlife specialists. The knowledge and expertise of their guides greatly enriches every magical encounter with the natural world. They are also all very lovely people. All Naturetrek staff are efficient, knowledgable, responsive and helpful in every possible way. The background research they undertake and the destinations they offer together with their pre-departure information give clients the best opportunity of sightings and close encounters with wildlife. Despite their expanding size they always give a very personal service and their open days make it feel as though one is a member of a wildlife group rather than simply a tour client.

By ship from the Southern tip of Argentina to the Falkilands, Siuth Georgia and the Antarctic peninsula we saw wildlife and Kandahar scape unlike anywhere else in the world.
