A great holiday for those who love nature, the out-doors and France

A regular visitor to France when our childred were young, it now must be 10+ years since we were there as we have been doing "The World". Each day saw us visit a diffeerent terrain,: gorges, mountains, woodland, salt marshes, each with its own differing flora and fauna. I enjoy bird-watching, and many years ago did a weeks bird-watching holiday. While very enjoyable, I was birded up at the end. Having both a botanist and ornithologist with us, gave the trip much more variation. Butterfly spotting was new to me but by the end of the week I was hooked. French food needs no introduction and I really enjoyed my re-aquaintance with it. A super week

They did what it says on the tin. I have very little experince of tour operators as we normally travel independantly, as we did at the end of this holiday having several days on our own on the French Riviera, The guides were particularly excellent and made the holiday.

A safari that will not be forgotten for a long time

As far as we are concerned we were completely satisfied with the holiday. The tented accommodation was really good (with proper beds and private facilities) and the camp staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was very good and we were amazed at the excellent fare the cook provided on such a "primitive" kitchen.

An unusual safari experience

This was a safari with lots of night drives to see rare mammals including Aadvarks and Black footed cats. It was very successful ( 4 aardvarks). I had been on about 30 African wildlife safaris before and never seen an aardvark so I was very pleased to see a new species. The accommodation, food and guides were all very good, and South Africa seems a very well organised, clean and friendly country.

Naturetrek always seem to organise very good holidays. Everything ran smoothly, including airport transfers as we had a tight connection at Jo'burg but were met and escorted through efficiently. I have been on over 10 holidays with this company to all parts of the world and have always been very happy with them. I often travel alone and am always confident that I will be looked after well and will travel with like-minded people.

Spain's Coto Donana & Extremadura Birdwatching.

It was a superb holiday. The 2 trip leaders were real experts in their field of birds and both excellent at identifying wild flowers. They listened to what the group wanted to see and went to great lengths to try and find good locations for seeing the given species. In addition the hotel locations were stunning, the first overlooking a lagoon and the second with wonderful views.

Expert led birdwatching & wildlife tour of Coto Donana and Extremadura regions of Spain.

First Class. 2 location tour led by outstandingly knowledgable experts for whom nothing was a problem. A well organised and thoughtfully implemented holiday delivering exactly "waht it said on the tin". First time with this company, but would definitely use again.

Surpassing expectations

My two days spent in the Forest of Dean were excellent in all ways, including the amount of wildlife seen and the care and attention of the wonderful guides who were most professional.

Everything it said on the "tin" (and more)

This was my first holiday with Naturetrek and it more than lived up to expectations. The leaders had an immense range of knowledge of natural history which they went out of their way to share with us yet at no time making us feel inadequate. Their knowledge of the area was excellent and invaluable from a botanist's point of view. And the picnic lunches they prepared each day were superb!

Could not fault Naturetrek, its efficiency and general organisation. We were provided with useful information, plant lists, suggested reading matter, etc in ample time prior to the departure date.

Fabulous Northern Lights and Killer Whales!

A great trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights and Killer Whales. We were very lucky indeed with the weather - 2 clear nights when the Northern Lights were absolutely fantastic! Even I got some great photos - the leader showed me things on my camera that I never knew existed!! Plus we saw Killer Whales too and I even have some half decent photos of them too. Even I got some great photos - the leader showed me things on my camera that I never knew existed!! Plus we saw Killer Whales too and I even have some half decent photos of them too. Tips for anyone thinking of travelling to Iceland in winter - 1. its cold obviously so bring the warmest clothes you have. 2. Get the Yaktrax for your boots - we didn't but wished we had - its very slippy on the ice. 3. Go to the Blue Lagoon - brilliant even if a tad expensive @ £25.00 pp. 4. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather but there's not much you can do about that! 5. You will need a tripod for good shots of the Northern Lights.

Rating for tour operator:

Very well organised and the Tour Leader's (Malcolm Stott) "camera class" was a great idea. I had no idea my camera had all the settings it has and without this advice I would have had no decent shots of the Northern Lights. I would recommend Nature Trek and will travel with them again in future.

Well organized, well lead, extremely informative and enjoyable.

Birding and botanising in Sardinia with my parents (both in their 80's) - wonderful wild flowers and orchids, easy travelling and very knowledgeable leaders/guides. Accurately described as Level 1 trip, which was very important to the older members of the party and they were able to enjoy everything as much as we did.

Not necessary to have much contact with them as all arrangements made quickly & efficiently, and everything worked smoothly in the field.
