I went with a friend for our second Naturetrek holiday. this time we went to the Camargue at the beginning of this month. It is such a beautiful part of France and we were lucky with a bit of wind so no mosquitoes! Our leaders were so well organized, friendly and ever helpful with information. We saw some lovely birds. The accommodation was very good and the food good too. We had a delightful group of travellers - the whole thing was entirely pleasurable. We will certainly use Naturetrek again in the future.

This was a two centre holiday using experienced guides to study the Sicilian flora and particularly to search for rare orchid specimens. The hotels used were chosen specifically for their location in botanical hot spots and were perfectly adequate for our requirements. Transport was provided by mini-buses driven by the guides. All food and most drinks were included in the cost of the holiday. Naturetrek booking arrangements were excellent and our aircraft seating was pre-booked. All in all an excellent holiday perfectly organized.

Naturetrek provided everything that one could expect from a specialist operator and I would recommend them for any natural history holiday.

Excellent birdwatching experience, including a pre-breakfast dawn chorus excursion. The 2 days were led by excellent guides, who tried and generally succeeded in finding the birds on the parties wishlist, including Bitterns, Hobbys and Garganeys. The accomodation and meals, including the lunchtime pub stops were of a high quality.

From booking to finish of the tour the organisation was excellent, transport to to the sites was well organised and well driven by our guides

It was a packed 10 days in which we experienced some most wonderful wildlife sightings, with chance to observe and learn from our extremely knowledgeable guides Our highlights were watching the bears,watching a Penduline tit building it's intricate nest & the spectacle of thousands of pelicans flying above our heads as the sun began to set, but there was so much more! The itinerary also gave us opportunities to 'see' Romania; the countryside with associated activities, the villages,castles & the Royal lodge even a chance to see the centre of Bucharest on our way to the airport. The accommodation was welcoming & comfortable, the floating hotel moored against the reeds in the Delta with the frogs was a really memorable experience

Our Naturetrek guide was ensured that everything ran smoothly from departure to arrival back at Heathrow. Everything was well planned but not rigid so opportunities were never missed. He was lively, had a wide range of knowlege & good humour. Our local guide was on his first tour but no one would have guessed. Nothing was too much trouble and he kept a smile on his face though some long days He was quick to spot the wildlife & ensured the all were given the opportunity to observe. We cannot praise him too highly & hope he does well in his chosen career.

Birding in Mallorca. 22 - 29th April 2017 My first time with Naturetrek. A very good trip. Hotel surpassed all expectations for location, comfort and food. The latter was the best I have ever had in any hotel I have stayed. Saw lots of new birds such as Spotted Redshank, Hoopoe and Black and Griffon Vultures. The tour leaders Andy and Cliff were excellent. Looking after their team of birders, answering questions and giving information where needed. They were very good at making sure that all tour members saw birds that were spotted. They treated the tour members as individuals responding to needs and playing to the groups strengths. The leaders were very different but they complemented each other. We had a well organised daily plan which went to plan. The itinerary took us to all parts of the island to see a whole range of birds. The Mallorcan scenery was breath taking. I will certainly speak highly and recommend Naturetrek to my colleagues and certainly go on another Naturetrek trip myself.

Really good. Lots of information given when first enquiring about the trip. Further more detailed information given when accepted on the trip list. Naturetrek were readily available by phone / email to answer any questions or to clarify points. Plane tickets plus Boarding cards sent to us which cuts out airport hassle. This makes a huge difference. The company were very good at keeping us informed.

Our trip was well organised, led by two expert leaders Nick and Mike and supported by a delightful and efficient land crew. The accommodation and transport was excellent and the itinerary made the most of our brief visit to Sabah. Night Drives from Deramakot Forest Reserve HQ proved to be highly successful and all members of our group were in full support of the Leaders' suggestion we "go for it" every night to see as many nocturnal mammals as possible. This resulted in excellent views of the elusive Clouded Leopard, Leopard Cat and several species of Civet and Squirrels. Nick and Mikes' knowledge of reptile, amphibians and various "bugs" was a surprise and resulted in some very impressive photographs by the more "professional" photographers. Seeing the Pygmy Elephant as well as all the important monkeys and primates at Kinabatangan and Deramakot made for an almost perfect trip. What's not perfect? There's always those mammals that we didn't see but that could result in a return trip sometime!

Naturetrek has proved to be an efficient, experienced tour operator with excellent UK and local leaders. I would definitely recommend Naturetrek to friends and count myself as a real fan. An excellent company with excellent communication and organisational skills.

We stayed in a former US radar station just outside Panama City, which made for a unique eco lodge. The viewing platform gave panoramic views across the rainforest. Although not deluxe, the lodge was comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was excellent. The wildlife guide was particularly knowledgeable, helping us amass an extensive list of birds and other creatures. The weather held up well until the final afternoon when it showed us what it was truly like to be in a rainforest!

I have been on ten tours with Naturetrek, and I am very impressed with them. Transport delays have been resolved to the best of their abilities. The one time our guide had to withdraw for a family crisis, we received appropriate compensation. I would be happy to go with them again. They have an excellent range of wildlife tours.

it was just wonderful even the journey to stanstead went well and the hotel went well so the early start wasn't too bad. when we arrived we met everybody and the holiday began and almost imediatley saw flamingoes.so from then it got better and better. to pick any one thing would be wrong it was the whole lot that was so good

naturetrek offer excellent value for money and excellent guides /managers. this must be about the tenth holiday with them we've been on. and all of them have been good or excellent.
