Reviews of Naturetrek

Rewarding and educational
A birdwatching long weekend in Norfolk. A couple of pre-dawn starts and some inclement weather, but some fantastic sightings. Excellent guide who worked hard to take us to the most promising locations, had a wealth of knowledge that he was very pleased to share and interacted well with the group. Good hotel with very good food. The weekend was well researched and well organised. Good value for money.

Just Cats - South Africa-Kruger and Sabi Sands ...... fab-u-lous !
Naturetrek fulfilled my wish for a holiday of a lifetime ! It was the most wonderful experience and the wildlife seen was beyond my wildest dreams. The tour was perfectly paced, all accommodation very comfortable with a selection of basic camps to more high end when we were at Sabi Sand Each day got better and better and the bird and wildlife was plentiful. This tour focused on the big cats and we weren’t disappointed, lions, cheetahs, magnificent leopards as well as all you would expect to see on a safari. I can’t fault anything on this trip and it was a privilege to see nature at its finest.

Naturetrek focus on birding, wildlife etc holidays and have a large selection on offer with Alan excellent website and brochure. Booking was very easy and details of the itinerary as well as previous tour reports were provided. Queries emailed were answered very promptly and I had full confidence in them. Brilliant mammal encounters in the Masai Mara
Well organised with a level of luxury I didn't expect for the price we paid, our holiday to Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara was a dream come true. Our excellent guides seemed to know exactly where to find the animals that we wanted to see and the food and accommodation was second to none. When I saw my first cheetah, I actually cried with happiness! I can't wait to go again!

Naturetrek's brochure helped us choose our holiday with lots of information to base our decision on. Booking was straightforward and any questions we had were answered promptly. Although we were advised that we would have to pay for one or two meals, in the event these were provided at no additional charge. Very satisfied with everything.

holidaying with new friends
first time on a nature and bird watching holiday. Everyone from leaders to fellow holiday maker were happy and delighted to show their love of the natural world. So we came home feeling relaxed and happy and looking forward to the next holiday but where?

Breathtaking wildlife experience in the Guara region of Northern Spain
The 'Wallcreepers and Cranes' of Northern Spain was a wildlife and landscape extravaganza in a less-publicised and quite remote part of Northern Aragon where river gorges, woodland, heath and steppe dominate the landscape and people are the minority presence. We spent 6 days exploring several of these gorges familiarising ourselves with upland birds, butterflies and flowers between October 25th and 28th before 'descending' south and east for the last 3 days to the a high plateau of steppe scrub land to continue the in the same vein. Almost every day was wall to wall sunshine, initially in temperatures reaching 26'c but descending to 18'/19/c before we left as northerly winds replaced the Sahar southerlies. We stayed in great & varied accommodation in Al Quezar and Gallocanta where hospitality and generosity were the dominant themes. There were chances to talk to local people and so get a feeling for the locality and its people. All in all a great break, a very interesting & rewarding holiday.

Nature trek are very experienced and slick holiday organisers. The booking, their information provision and overall organisation were first rate and the provision of wildlife tour guides was outstanding all the way through the holiday so that time in places was just spot on. I have travelled with them on 2 previous occasions and would happily travel with them again as they are excellent at what they are doing wherever their tours go. I can only recommend them highly to any wildlife enthusiast

An wildlife and nature adventure that met all my expectations.

Exploring the Pantanal in Brazil was the culmination of a long held dream. We saw a wide variety of birds, mammals and reptiles on our morning and afternoon excursions. A special highlight were the wonderful views we had of jaguars. We saw 7 different individuals during our time on the river. Special birds included a Sun Bittern displaying and a Great Pooto and chick scarcely distinguishable brim the branch on which they sat. It is impossible to describe Iguazú Falls in words. The magesty and power took my breath away. Standing on a platform at the base of the falls with water pouring down on one side and falling away on the other was a moment I will never forget. I took the trip to see the Pantanal. My most cherished moment was standing in the spray at the falls.

Here, I am rating the actual in-country tour operator. Very good overall. Wished Brazilian guides bit more focused on birds which were my primary interest but he was a knowledgable naturlist. Argentinian guide was primarily a bird guide and excellent. Lodging and food was as described varying from clean but very basic to fairly upscale (on river). Naturetrek as the overall tour operator did a great job. They were helpful at every point of the application process, answering questions and helping me & my daughter meet the tour (we were coming from the US) and arranging flights for a post-tour visit to Rio.
