It was truly excellent! Everything was well organised and all the logistics and accommodation worked like a dream. The tour organisers and bird guides were all first rate and the tour leader, Andrea Beltran, was a really gifted 'people person' who combined birding ID skills and tour leadership with the ability to infuse the whole group with enthusiasm and a confidence that any challenges would be immediately addressed.

Likewise Naturetrek delivered on everything that I expected: excellent information provided in advance and upon booking; first rate customer service throughout and attentive follow-up at the end of the tour. In particular I would mention their setting up of a Drop Box facility to enable the sharing of photos and reports from fellow tour members and to encourage continued contact.

8 days in Sri Lanka with plenty of opportunities to see a wide range of wildlife. The main aim was to see blue whales and leopards but we saw so much more. The birds were too many to list, the boat trips delivered dolphins and turtles, and the safari days brought sightings of elephants, monkeys, water buffalo and sloth bear to name a few. Our guides were absolutely fantastic with knowledge of everything from history to butterflies and they knew the right places to visit for bird watching and unusual sights. The hotels we stayed in were very comfortable and the food was excellent. All in all it was one of the best holidays I have taken.

This was the first Naturetrek I have taken, and I'm sure it won't be the last. Office staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The itinerary was planned to include as much as possible, which is very important for a wildlife holiday.

A week in November in Cyprus was a welcome bit of warmth and sunshine to brighten up the British late autumn weather. Our group of 16 natural history lovers was competently led by two well-qualified guides, one form the UK and one from Cyprus. This combination ensured that our queries about everything from the contents of delicious-looking pastries to the name of the rarest flower were answered. Our tour around the SW of Cyprus was mainly to look at flowers and the wildlife but we also went to a number of archeological sites which were most interesting too. The accommodation was excellent and we returned home feeling we had been well looked after and had also learned many new things.

Naturetrek specialises in small group tours across the world to look at the natural history of the area visited - birds, flowers, other fauna. But they do not neglect the local culture, so many tours include visits to major cultural sites, and sampling local food. They are careful in choosing the accommodation, so one can be confident of a comfortable stay.

A very enjoyable 6 day trip to Andalucia, timed to coincide with the migration of thousands of vultures, storks and other raptors across the Straits of Gibraltar. Staying in two locations - a rural hotel in the Ronda mountains and an eco lodge near Tarifa - we visited a number of wetland and coastal sites where migrating birds stop to refuel before making the hazardous trip further south into Africa. A rare opportunity to see huge concentrations of birds as they funnel down into this small area of Spain from all over Western Europe. One of nature’s true spectacles.

Naturetrek offer a wide range of bird and wildlife holidays, in small to medium sized groups. This tour had nine participants, led by two knowledgable and friendly guides. Everything happened as it should, from making the initial booking through to the flight home. Accommodation was in quiet, peaceful surroundings with good food all included - making for a relaxing experience.

The Best of Brazil's Atlantic Rainforest trip with Naturetrek was the perfect length for us and was based on only two ecolodges which cut down on endless repacking and too much travel during the trip. The leader was first rate and he gave %110 throughout which we really appreciated. All in all it was a trip we'd thoroughly recommend if you enjoy forest birding and the necessary demands of waiting patiently and motionless for the birds to be called in.

I have travelled with this company many times since 2001, and have always found them very good.

Well run tour, saw most of the birds I hoped to see. Accommodation was very good as was the food.

The holiday was to Panama mainly as a Birding holiday but it was so much more . with a very knowledgeable and helpful guide we saw lots of animals and reptiles plus butterflies and plants and we had a very enjoyable time.

The quality of the holiday was outstanding. Every detail had been thought through. Naturetrek got all information over in good time and organised flights and transfers. The company who managed the safari on their behalf were well organised, excellent guides and the camp had everything that you could expect. The food was amazing and no request was too much. Overall I'm going to find it hard to beat this one!

This holiday was booked by my partner for me for my 50th birthday. He found Naturetrek very helpful and they got all the information across without my knowledge. Once they knew I knew they were very efficient in getting final details and getting tickets etc out to me. I was impressed by their efficiency and hope to travel with them again.
