Unforettable Norfolk Spring Highlights
We were so privileged to have four fantastic wildlife filled days with our kind, patient and amazingly experienced and knowledgeable local leader. We were blessed with wonderful weather and a small group enabling us all to have stunning views of birds (at least 104 recorded) and butterflies and mammal sightings too. Our leader produced a fantastic summary of this our first visit to Norfolk. We learned so much and do hope to visit again.

We were offered plenty of helpful information and friendly phone calls as well as an excellent summary of our adventures and all we saw. We hadn't realised before that Nature Trek runs so many UK tours.

Guided wildlife travel at it's best
A tour to the mountains of Asturias, Spain staying at an excellent small hotel in Pola de Somiedo. The main target was to see bears, which several of the group managed. The tour covered a wide variety of birds, wild flowers, butterflies, etc in short, easy day walking. Very knowledgeable guide.

We have travelled with Naturetek for quite a few years - this was our 5th tour. Generally excellent organisation, management and operation. On the one occassion where a tour was not up to the normally very high standard, we were immediately given £500 compensation.

Isles of Scilly
We visited all the main islands, and also the Bishop Rock lighthouse. The hotel we stayed in was well positioned, and had fantastic food. It remained dry all week, and we saw a great range of birds including Hoopoe and Whinchat Shrike. We joined in the lunch party at neap low tide on the sandbank between Tresco and Bryher.

They were well organised, so we had very little to do. A expert on local wildlife showed us many things we would not have found by ourselves.

Varied, well organised, successful
A great nature, mostly bird watching holiday. Accommodation great, leaders the best, birds amazing.

Bernese Oberland: Flowers, butterflies, scenery
Naturetrek organised a "Go Slow" (relaxing!) botanical trip based at Murren. The hotel was well-run with stunning views from the rooms towards the Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau and other peaks... There was an extensive buffet breakfast and a very tasty evening meal included... Each day we set off at around 9:30am ... Murren itself had plenty of flower "banks" swarming with insects, as well as the black version of the red squirrel chasing around the trees...

There was an extensive buffet breakfast and a very tasty evening meal included... Each day we set off at around 9:30am ... Murren itself had plenty of flower "banks" swarming with insects, as well as the black version of the red squirrel chasing around the trees... and very unusually, a few habituated chamois...who were visible most days in the early morning and late afternoon The first trip was to Allmendhubel about 1000 feet above Murren by funicular railway... Other days, we ascended the Schilthorn, Mannlichen and Niederhorn using cablecars, trains and a ferry across Lake Thun. There were abundant alpine flowers, butterflies, other insects as well as wonderful scenery. Lake Thun had some waterbirds, including an eider duck...and alpine choughs were omnipresent We also visited the underground Trummelbach waterfalls (very impressive) and Schynige Platte by rack & pinion train... I suppose we were lucky with the weather, mainly sunny...but the last day was very overcast and drizzly
Rating for tour operator:

Naturetrek provided two botanical guides, who were also well-versed in birds, butterflies and mammals etc. to guide us all the time to & from Heathrow airport ... All the transport was pre-arranged, we just had to look after our own train pass each day... which covered cable cars as well.... Most days, our guides arranged two alternative walks...one for those who were really keen and the other for those who were more tired ... The guides were extremely knowledgeable... Everything went extremely smoothly...

A Fantastic Trip to Romania
We visited the Carpathian Mountains, the Danube Delta, and mainland sites near Tulcea and the Black Sea. The local Romanian guide was excellent and the English leader supplied by Naturetrek was absolutely great. Both went to a lot of trouble to ensure everyone saw the wildlife they found and the trip was a great success. Accommodation and food were both exemplary, and the floating hotel on the Danube was an unforgettable experience.
