Excellent. Each day was full of activity from morning to evening, sometimes late at night (to see Kiwis).

Brilliant Holiday
We flew to Addis Ababa and with a local guide and his driver visited a number of locations looking at wildlife, mainly birds and mammals but also butterflies, moths, dragonflies and other creatures. We stayed in three different hotels and two lodges. We also visited a local village to see cotton weaving which was the only disappointing part of the holiday, plus a fish market for an experience, not to eat or taste and a local fish restaurant ...

Brilliant 2 week tour of the Galapagos
Flew to Quito, then after a days rest flew to Bara island and began our tour. Highlights were the wonderful wide life and amazing scenery. Each day we visited different islands or a different part of one of the larger islands. It was amazing to be able to get up close to so much of the wildlife. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, patient and a good planner. He ensured we got the most out of our 2 weeks. We also had some great snorkelling days...

We also had some great snorkelling days. swimming with an abundance of fish, reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, rays, sea lions, penguins, flightless cormorants and many many turtles and lots of other marine life. An experience I will never forget.

We felt very well looked after. Information good and if anything didn’t go to plan it was quickly dealt with. Excellent itinerary.

Luxury amid wilderness
South Luangwa National Park takes some reaching, with three flights in planes of diminishing size from Heathrow to Mfuwe. But Kafunta River Lodge is like an oasis upon arrival. The discrete and kindly staff made our small group very welcome. Our guide was an affable and professional fellow who was at pains to teach us how to recognise all manner of birds (with mixed success). One member of the group wanted to see an aardvark (we didn't), and two were keen to see wild dogs. These were encountered five times. Another was a tortoise owner, delighted to see one in wild. There were leapards and lions and giraffe and elephants enough to take thousands of pictures - my own hobby, What with a Christmas carol service under a giant mango tree with a local choir on Christmas Eve and champagne on the terrace back at the lodge on Christmas Day this trip was a rare treat and and wonderfully memorable holiday.

Naturetrek could never be accused of being cheap (as the cost of these holidays is legendary) but when you want guaranteed quality this is where to book every time.

Birdwatching in Costa Rica is brilliant
Two weeks in Costa Rica with Naturetrek. An excellent guide, a wonderful country, saw over 300 species of birds including the resplendent quetzal, which I have wanted to see since I was a child.

The best holiday ever!
This was an excellent holiday in every possible way. The thought that had gone into the planning paid off as we got to see many of the animals, birds, fish and other wildlife that we had hoped to see. The nature guide was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and attentive to individual needs. We learnt so much from him in many ways The crew of the motor yacht were efficient, thoughtful, and all excursions were on time as were the delicious meals...

The travel to and from the jungle went smoothly and the staff and guides from the lodge were efficient and thoughtful giving us another opportunity to see amazing wildlife. It was a great end to the holiday.

Good information online about the holiday including tour reports from participants on past trips. This gives such a good indication of what the trip entails. They answered all are questions in a timely manner and their arrangements went without a hitch.

The Best of Madagascar
This was an extensive tour which enabled us to visit many of Madagascar's protected areas. We covered a lot of territory & we were rewarded with memorable experiences involving the incredible & diverse flora & fauna. The guide leader, naturalist & local guides were phenomenal.

Naturetrek - offers small group holidays focused on the natural world. Excellent service from start to finish, well planned and supported. I particularly like their inclusive prices which include flights and meals/activities (many small group tour operators no longer do this) and they never discount their holidays. Their pricing policy remains fair and consistent.

Absolutely superb accommodation at Kafunta River Lodge, staff all very helpful, made us feel respected and valued and the food was restaurant quality. The safaris morning and evening/night were superlative and the animal viewing spectacular but even when not actually spotting animals it was a wonderful experience, with doing river crossings on a hand rowed pontoon to driving to the park gate was all amazing, we had an excellent experienced guide called Kelvin who was a fantastic spotter any time of the day who gave informative but very interesting chats about the various animals, birds and flora and fauna. An absolutely brilliant holiday well run by the very experienced Naturetrek Holidays, could highly recommend.
