A superb Coast to Coast walk
My wife and I walked Wainwright's Coast to Coast in May/June 2016. This is a superb walk and well deservedly called "one of the Worlds great walks".We took 16 days for the walk of nearly 200 miles which passes through three National Parks giving a constantly changing scene as you cross England from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire. We were very fortunate To have no rain on our trip which made it even more enjoyable!

Mickledore Travel organised everything on the trip as we requested. We chose the number of walking days, a day off en-route, baggage carried and packed lunches, and transport to the start and from the finish to our base in Richmond Yorks. All the B&B's and Hotels were excellent including those in more remote areas. The information pack provided was extremely comprehensive and more than met our requirements. We enjoyed our walk even more as everything went so smoothly. We wll certainly use Mickledore again, it was so nice to get the personal touch from a small operator. We would have no hesitation in recommending their holidays to others.
Congratulations on completing your Coast to Coast walk and we are happy to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves. Thank you for the positive feedback and it is nice to hear that you appreciated the personal touch from Mickledore. Lucy

West Highland Way in eight days of dry, warm - even hot - weather
West Highland Way (WHW) with Mickledore travel is a self-guided walk from Milngavie on the northern edge of Glasgow to Fort William, 96 miles on the route, plus whatever diversions you want to make. We went for the eight day option though we could have chosen seven or nine. The WHW is a well marked and well-known route attracting walkers from all over the world. We met walkers from New Zealand and the USA as well as several European countries...

We went for the eight day option though we could have chosen seven or nine. The WHW is a well marked and well-known route attracting walkers from all over the world. We met walkers from New Zealand and the USA as well as several European countries. Although a very popular walk we found lots of space to walk at our own pace and often with noone else in sight. We were especially blessed to have eight sunny warm days. Highlights: the shores of Loch Lomond, the space of Rannoch Moor and the hills of the last two days.

Mickledore Travel looked after all the practical arrangements for our walk, booking B and B accommodation for each night, and arranging luggage transport from one venue to the next. They also supplied us with a map of the WHW and a detailed Guidebook together with detailed notes about places to eat, shop and bank. All their B and Bs were of a good standard: a mixture of hotels, B&B-type houses and Guest Houses.
It really does sound like you had an excellent time on the West Highland Way John. It really is a spectacular walk and it is great to hear that you met people along the way but also had time and space to enjoy the walk on your own. Thank you for your good feedback about your accommodation and the arrangements made by Mickledore. Sonja.

It was excellent!
We walked the Cotswold Way. Stayed in B&B's each night and had excellent service from the planning to the flight home.

They looked after all our needs, including special diet needs. Everything worked like clockwork and our holiday was one of our very best ones yet. We plan to do another walk and would not hesitate to use the same company.
It is really good to hear that your walk on the Cotswold Way was one of your best holidays yet. Just get in touch when you are ready to plan your next walk! Thanks Steve.

Well planned holiday
Our walking group is at the upper end of the spectrum, and we wanted to walk the Cumbria Way, but needed to make one long day into a two day affair Mickledore were soon on the case and had it sorted. We had a great time the accommodation was good in different types of establishment, and the information they gave us could not be faulted. You will not go wrong if you book with this company

The Great Glen Way - A beautiful way to see Scotland
A beautiful walk among some of the most dramatic scenery in Scotland. The route is well signposted and it would be difficult to get lost even if you tried. The trail is well maintained though some may feel that there are too many miles of "hardcore" paths and not enough natural footpaths. The standard of accommodation along the route was excellent and the baggage transfer was as smooth as always. Saw my first slow worm!

Wonderful, Beautiful, Splendid Cotswold way Trek in 2016
The Cotswold Way Trek is an amazing experience. Mickledore makes it all possible and so easy by taking care of B&B reservations and moving luggage and recommending local restaurants for evening dinners. Central England has to be one of the most beautiful parts of the world, and Mickledore makes it so easy to enjoy and experience.

Mickledore is fantastic! They are very professional, responsive, and quick to reply to email inquiries. Best of all, when you call them on the phone, you get a live person that answers the phone. That is a rare phenomenon in this world of automated answering machines. Mickledore provides excellent service all around. Their reservation process is simple and flexible. They give you plenty of time to pay in advance. I love how they take all of the guess work out of the travelling process. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the beautiful countryside. I was very pleased with Mickledore service and will book with them again next year.
Thank you Glen for your excellent feedback. The Cotswold Way really does take you through some beautiful countryside. It is nice to hear that you were pleased with the personal service that you received from Mickledore. We look forward to hearing from you again when you are ready to book your walk for next year! fantastic well planned holiday
My daughter and I walked the West Highland Way from 21st to 27th May 2016. We had the most wonderful trip with sunshine all the way except for the first two days which were showery. The scenery on this walk is spectacular and for us, it was great to see the trip from Glasgow to Fort William from another perspective - we spend 2weeks every year in Fort William walking the hills. To anyone thinking of the Way for a trip I would recommend it highly ...

My daughter and I wanted a trouble free holiday and Mickledore certainly filled the bill on that score. They arranged all our accommodation, lunches, bar the first day, and also arranged for our luggage to be transferred ahead each day. They also booked accommodation in Milngavie for the night before we started on the Way. From the time of booking to the end of our trip everything went like clockwork. If we had any queries ,our e-mails were replied to promptly. We were given a map and book of the route , clear directions to our accommodation, places to eat every evening and much more. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mickledore to anyone - in fact I have booked another trip with them for next year.
Thank you for your brilliant feedback, it really does sound like you had a fantastic walk. We are busy making all the arrangements for your walk next year and we hope that you enjoy it just as much as this one! Lucy

Mickledore transport our heavy bags safely from one B & B to another, save's us carrying a lot of heavy Toilotiries, and change of clothing. They provide Maps, of local area, details on how to find your Accomodation. Places to eat. Labels for your luggage. And 15 % of casual clothing in Cotswold stores.
Thank you for your feedback about your West Highland Way holiday. It sounds like you had a great walk meeting people and enjoying the company of friendly hosts, whilst enjoying the stunning scenery that Scotland has to offer! Sonja.
