19 days walking Hadrian's Wall Path across England

Mickledore provided us excellent information for the trip, booked all the accommodations, etc

We walked from Chipping Campden to Painswick in seven days in early May 2022. Because we requested a walking holiday with certain distances per day, Mickledore arranged accommodations in locations accordingly. The four B&Bs we stayed at - Cornerways, Chipping Campden; Shenberrow Hill, Stanton; Cleeve Hill House Hotel, Cleeve Hill; and Troy House, Painswick - were lovely and comfortable in all respects. The room at Wesley House in Winchcombe was very small but the staff were so warm and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The London Inn in Charlton Kings was acceptable, but not on the same level as the B&Bs - but how could it be? The Royal George George Hotel in Birdlip was the only option; it was satisfactory as a mid-size hotel. We did appreciate the fact that after a ten-mile walk we could enjoy the bar and dining without leaving the premises. And the food was good at both dinner and breakfast.

I used Mickledore a few years ago for my Hadrian's Wall Path holiday. They are organized, professional and leave out no details. Communication throughout the COVID period - postponing, rescheduling, updating - was always reliable and friendly, regardless of who was assigned to my holiday. I highly recommend them.

I arrived in Corbridge certain in my ability to meet the physical demands of a walking holiday, but having done little research into the area or accommodations. Every bed and breakfast accommodation was well situated, many were absolutely lovely. Meals were delicious and pubs we're welcoming to walkers. The trail was exquisite in many places, particularly the middle section.

Mickledore arranged our accommodations and transfers which went off without a hitch. We booked later than most but still found the accommodations excellent.

Wonderful walk around the North York Moors!! Great weather, great accommodation, great food, new friends and a truly wonderful experience!!

Mickledore put together a fantastic package of high quality snacks welcoming accommodation for our walking holiday that perfectly matched the number of days we wished to walk. We have used Mickledore 6 times now, and we have passed their contact details on to friends who have and are at the moment using them,and there is nothing to fault them on. We contacted Mickledore and they provided a customised walking package from Ulverstonto Caldbeck ong the Cumbria Way. The weather was mixed , as you would expect in the Lake Distrct. Only once did it rain all day as we walked over Stale Pass to Rosthwaite and the luxury of Scafell Hotel. The service here was excellent. We had taxis- arranged by Mickledore to take us and collect to the beginning and end of a coulke of days. These all worked very well.

The Internet, telephone and face to face communications are excellent. The lodgings- whether B&B, Guest Houses or hotels- are very good and the feedback form allows great detail if required. The transport of luggage just works so very well. The printed matter about the walk is so complete and all the lo Al details are fully covered as well. We walked the centre section of Hadrians Wall with Mickledore. Their organisation of the accommodation, luggage transfer and taxis was superb, everything dovetailed beautifully. They provided a wealth of information about restaurants, taxi firms, health support and other services along the way as well as excellent route finding material. We never took a wrong step along the way.

We walked from Winchester to Eastbourne over 7 days. Mickledore arranged all the overnight stays and luggage transfers. Everything ran to schedule and the accommodation was perfect. Communication and paperwork was exemplary.

This year we walked the Dales Way which started in Ilkley and ended in Bowness on Windermere. We walked an average of 12 miles a day although some days were longer as we ventured into some lovely villages or sites of special interest. We chose May as the ideal time to visit this part of the country because the woods were full of bluebells and wold garlic and the fields were bursting with young lambs and calves. The accommodation was very varied and ranged from hotels to inns and B &B's and their locations ideal for the walk. Always great to have a hot shower and meal after a days walk!

Their website is very easy to navigate and offers a wide range of walks and support to suit everyone's needs and interests. One booked they send you an information pack full of information to guide you through the walk, where to eat and all the local amenities and attractions. They organise the accommodation which is always first class and can arrange your luggage to be transported to the next accommodation so you only have to carry your essentials. The cost are very reasonable for the level of service received and we are already planning next year's walk!
