Walking the Cotswolds with Mickledore

We walked with six friends (60+) from Painswick to Bath in 5 days. So we took our time to enjoy the beautiful landscapes, villages, and pubs. As we are from Belgium we know the region through the Midsummer Murders series, and we were not disappointed at all. Though the kissing gates were squeaking, there were no murders during our visit. B&B's were top, and luggage transport perfect. The hosts were very helpful with parking and transportation ...

As we are from Belgium we know the region through the Midsummer Murders series, and we were not disappointed at all. Though the kissing gates were squeaking, there were no murders during our visit. B&B's were top, and luggage transport perfect. The hosts were very helpful with parking and transportation issues between the start and endpoints. Bath was a wonderful experience after the walking holiday with roman and modern baths, the pump room, the abbey, and Avebury and Stonehenge to visit. After a very good experience of Hadrian wall some years ago, Mickledore again gave us the desire to walk again in the UK.

North Devon Coastal Path

We walked from Minehead to Westwood Ho! over 9 days staying in some lovely B&B's and Guest Houses along the way. The host's were all very accommodating and friendly. Some days were more challenging than others and we had some beautiful scenery along the way.

Mickledore planned the holiday well. We were sent a very comprehensive guide 2-3 weeks beforehand giving full details of where we were staying, the walk each day, suggested places to eat, and local shops and amenities. They pre-booked taxis for us where they had been unable to find accommodation at the start/finish of the stage.

Must do walk

Everyone should do this walk. What an experience it was. Starting and finishing on the coast with wonderful varied scenery along the way, with only a couple of average scenery days.

So good doing it again next year west to east

Walked Hadrian's wall from Wallsend Newcastle to Bowness on Solway, a total of 84 miles plus an extra 22 getting to and from some accommodation. Best of all it was dog friendly and Sophie loved it

Wonderful scenerie, friendliy encounters, perfect service

Over ten years ago I had read an article about the Coast to Coast Walk and had always intended to walk it one day. After years of family holidays, this year was the year. And I am so happy that I dared to do this hike alone in 12 days. The walk is some of the most beautiful things I have done in my life. I was just happy to walk through this wonderfully beautiful landscape, to soak up the impressions. I will think back for a long time to this ...

Fantastic!

We walked the West Highland Way and Mickledore arranged each of our accommodations along the way and also arranged the transport of our luggage between each accommodation. Every accommodation was very good and everything went very smoothly

First time we had used Mickledore (we had done the walk 25 years ago but arranged it all ourselves and carried all our stuff) We thought that ,since the pandemic, booking accommodation might be difficult but that Mickledore would have a keen interest in using its connections. They obviously had kept or made some good ones.

St Cuthberts Way by Jeff J, 26 Jul 2022

Renewing, beautiful and Enriching

My wife and I came from America on a spiritual renewal leave and took the St. Cuthbert's Way. This was our very first walking holiday. Every landscape was picture-worthy, and it was a great way to not only see the Scottish and English countryside, but to have some quality time together in the quiet beauty of the country.

Mickledore Walking Holidays did an outstanding job of caring for all of the details of our holiday so that we never had to worry or doubt about the details and arrangements. We stayed at high quality hotels and Bed and Breakfasts, enjoyed warm hospitality, and wonderful food. The folks at Mickledore were professional and kind, and were quick, clear and helpful any time I had a question.

Hadrian's Wall Cost to Coast Walk

Fantastic week, with seamless support from the Mickeldore team when plans needed adapting due to COVID and walk times. Smooth transfers, accommodation and lunches; simple maps and instructions - supported by the online app with our itinerary (and itinerary changes). Allowed us to focus on the walking and enjoying the break.

Coastal summer

Wonderful experience going the Costal path of Isle of Wight. The best part is from Yarmouth to Shanklin. Too much tarmac from Ryde to Cowes.
