McKinlay-Kidd organized flights from Glasgow to Shetland, then to Orkney, then back to Glasgow. They arranged car hire and hotel accommodation. They provided maps and travel suggestions. All were absolutely perfect, and I will absolutely use this polite, accommodating, detail oriented agency any time I travel in an area they serve. The hotels were conveniently located, with high quality service, food, and rooms. It was one of the best trips ever. This was a Mother-Daughter adventure, and we had so much worry-free fun because of McKinley-Kidd!

They were perfect. They were friendly, helpful, and they responded quickly to any query. The information they provided was clearly presented, complete, on time, and exactly responsive to our needs.

Our first visit to the Western Isles and enjoyed both the wildlife and the historic sites which we found particularly impressive. The holiday was made even more memorable by the wonderful weather during our visit.

Well organised tour with great accommodations chosen for us. Mc Kinlay Kidd were helpful and interested in providing us with a good experience.

My wife and I had a wonderful holiday experiencing touring in Scotland. Not being bus tour people, we looked for an alternative way to see Scotland. The Premier Round Scotland by Train itinerary provided train transportation, top notch B&Bs with wonderful dining, transportation from train to B&B and back, local guides providing private day tours and a bunch more. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Knowledgeable, well researched destinations and B&Bs, easy to work with and reliable.

Everything was arranged by McKinlay Kidd and it was a trouble-free experience with variety and interest all the way. We travelled from Oban by ferry (followed by dolphins) to the Isle of Barra. This island is very special and we explored it the following day including seeing the plane landing on the beach! We stayed in a variety of hotels and B & B's all of which were good. Meeting the locals and hearing about island life was a highlight. The scenery was stunning everywhere we went and all the ferry crossings added a sense of 'journeying' . It was an experience which surpassed our hopes - a brilliant holiday!

They were friendly and efficient and always ready to help. When a ferry was cancelled due to weather conditions they couldn't have been more concerned, keeping in touch by phone and making sure we were OK. Their recommendations for things to see and visit helped to make the holiday interesting and varied. The accommodation they had arranged was excellent.

Orkney and Shetland provide fantastic scenery bird life and ancient monuments.Our McKinley Kidd tour gave us ample opportunity to see it all.It was a joy to have all the ferry and hotel bookings done for us and the suggestions of where to go and what to see made all the difference..

We asked our tour operator for a special trip to suit our requirements and we had a well organised trip to suit all we wished to see and visit. Excellent accommodation for the whole trip.

While travelling for business, I was able to take a couple of days for a short break. McKinley Kidd was able to arrange everything. They coordinated getting me from Edinburgh to the Highlands, and doing the things I wanted to do without any of the time/arrangements feeling rushed or stressful. The accommodations were excellent, they made dinner reservations, coordinated cars when I needed them, and took care of everything. Thank you.

McKinley Kidd was easy to reach, listened to what I was looking for in a holiday and made suggestions and then arrangements as to how best to do things. It was a personal experience, as opposed to a mass package arrangement that I would be expected to fit into.

It was great peace of mind to know that our holiday had been planned specifically for families and made the best of the locations and activities available to us. The day by day itinerary made the whole experience more relaxing, exciting and enjoyable, with useful tips for extra places to visit or eat. The accommodation was also spot on for requirements. Had we tried to plan the same trip ourselves we would have spent hours searching and organising and would not have had enough knowledge of the place to plan such an incredible trip. Sharing that small part of the world for one week together was special. We have some wonderful memories, our five year old son said "Scotland was the best holiday ever!" Thank you

They sent us a beautifully presented itinerary and relevant maps. The itinerary had some great 'other suggestions' for places to visit or eat, which we often took on board. When the operator discovered that one of our day trips coincided with a major sporting event at the same place they were very considerate with making us aware. We didn't have any problems on holiday so didn't ned to contact them but overall they made us feel special and taken care of and there was always that peace of mind that if anything were to go wrong we'd be taken care of.
