A trial holiday with McKinlay Kidd!

We chose a short trip to Islay and Jura which involved four flights and two hotel stays. Despite initial flights being changed by Loganair two weeks before departure and the airport being changed from Leeds Bradford. to Manchester ,McKinlay Kidd helped us deal with the changes and recoup the taxi fare without a fuss. The hotel rooms chosen were excellent as well. We can certainly agree with their other customers that their help and customer care was exemplary .

Great holiday
The Far North Line from Inverness to Thurso, followed by a ferry to The Orkneys. The arrangement were all good and the accommodation, especially at Pentland Lodge Hotel in Thurso was great. The tour of Mainland in the Orkneys with 'See Orkney' was the highlight of the holiday. SEE ORKNEY can be highly recommended. It is our second holiday with McKinley Kidd but will not be the last.

First Class - as simple as that.

An opportunity to visit more islands in the Inner Herides.
A self drive to Arran, Islam, Jura, Mull and Skye. We stayed in various hotel and guest house accommodations pre booked by McKinlay Kidd. They were all of a comfortable high standard and gave us a base to explore the islands at our leisure. We also had Roberts notes highlighting features of interest and advising places to eat, including contact numbers. All ferries were pre arranged and worked well except the link onto Skye which was cancelled ...

We were kept w Ella informed and were able to divert by road to cross the bridge onto the island. An excellent well arranged holiday.

A small independent travel agency who offer a detailed well planned itinerary. They are always available on the phone to sort any problems that may arise. How many travel agents do you know where a director regularly answers the phone and has personally tried the majority of the accommodation used.

Outer Hebrides Tour
We had two nights five times down the Outer Hebrides which we found enchanting. We had a variety of accommodation types.

Just fantastic. Coming from Australia they made it so easy. Everything was planned to the last detail and was so good. Exceeded our expectations. So good I'd give them an 11 out of 10.

Neolithic history and stunning island scenery !
Three nights each on Orkney and Shetland. Not nearly enough timeto discover all these islands had to offer. Well located in very hospitable and comfortable accommodation we drove out each day to explore the many historic sites on Orkney and beautiful coastline of Shetland. Driving on both islands was easy with the polite locals and good roads. Recommendations from the tour company were very helpful. We sampled plenty of local food and drinks ...

Excellent
We travelled from New Zealand to a self-drive holiday tailor made by McKinlay Kidd. We were lucky to have such attentive people sort the tour out and suggest extra ideas in line with our requests. Even thinking back on this holidsy brings smiles to your face. It certainly ticked all the boxes!

The personal service offered by Robert Kidd as part of such a big organisation was among the best in all our decades of travel.

AMAZING HEBRIDES
The whole holiday was amazing. From the quality of the B/B's to the directions to the next B/B were spot on.

They were so helpful and freindly nothing was to much trouble. As mentioned the directions were precise I found every thing easy and no hassle. The food was excelent and each B/B did packed lunches so did not need to find food for the walks. IT WAS BRILIANT. So much so I will be going again A.S.A.P.

Scottish Whiskey Tour - Excellent!!
A bucket list item fulfilled to a degree of excellence we truly didn't expect. Every day was planned to ensure that we enjoyed not only the magnificent scenery on our travels, but also the time to explore castles, villages and local culture. Our journey started in Edinburgh going north taking in St. Andrews and on to Speyside. Then winding our way through the highlands across to the Isle of Skye, onward to Port Appin we soaked up the peace ...

Our journey started in Edinburgh going north taking in St. Andrews and on to Speyside. Then winding our way through the highlands across to the Isle of Skye, onward to Port Appin we soaked up the peace and tranquility of the countryside. Campbeltown and Islay were our final destinations before heading to Glasgow to fly home. The distillery tours were all booked in advance as were the accommodations which were all high end. We definitely recommend the Gold Tour of the Scotch Whiskey Experience in Edinburgh at the beginning of the vacation. It gave us an overview of the whiskey industry and its processes and whetted our appetite for what was to come! We visited six distilleries in total, Macallan, Aberlour, Talisker, Oban, Springbank and Laphroaig which were personal choices. Each one was very special in its' own way. We loved Scotland, its' beauty, its' culture and its' people. We'll be back!!

McKinlay Kidd took care of every detail with precision down to the timing and booking of ferries to and from the Islands. Their attention to detail enabled us to relax and enjoy every minute of our vacation. Well done McKinlay Kid, we couldn't have organized it better ourselves!

Great time in Northumberland
We went on the "Northumberland Dark Skies and Nature" holiday which we really enjoyed. The hotels were very good; small and friendly. We had three nights inland and then five nights (two of which were extra to the standard tour) nearer the Northumberland coast.

This was the second time we've booked a holiday through McKinlay Kidd and would recommend them. The hotels are good and some trips/events are included, but with plenty of free time to explore the area on our own.
