Complete Orkney & Shetland Holiday

This was the trip of a lifetime! Every possible site/locale/attraction I wanted to see was covered on this trip, and then some. The tour guides were all fantastic. The islands chosen to visit were stunning. The scenery was breathtaking everywhere we went. I can't imagine a better holiday.

They put together a fantastic tour with top notch guides, fantastic hotels, and absolutely stunning attractions to visit. I can't imagine anyone putting together a better tour than this one.

Great Scottish island holiday exceeded our expectations

We spent a week travelling around Orkney and Shetland and were really impressed by what we saw and experienced. Both islands were beautiful in different ways, from the neatly farmed Orkney to the untamed Shetland. One definite highlight was to finally get close enough to Puffins to ...

One definite highlight was to finally get close enough to Puffins to get decent photos, after 30 years of trying in various other parts of the World!!

McKinley Kidd were very thorough and provided plenty of information prior to us making a booking from Australia. Their booking process and payment systems were very easy to use and the staff helpful and efficient. All of our flight connections, accommodation and car hire went smoothly, without any problems.

The entire road trip around the North of Scotland met our expectations thanks to the planning conversations with McKinley Kidd and the stunning landscapes we encountered around every bend in the road!

Although a lengthy coastal drive, thanks to the suggested breakdown of the journey into manageable and therefore enjoyable distances, it was not arduous. The hotel breaks with good food provided enough time to explore immediate areas with some relaxation time for pottering.

Our first visit to Ireland and it did not disappoint!

Our itinerary was well thought out, very good accommodation, each with it's own distinct style. Beautiful scenery, stunning coastline and amazing beaches, plus we had very good weather as well!

Wonderful tour of the north of Scotland and Orkney islands (The North 500).

My wife and I have long since wanted to visit the far north of Scotland and to drive the North 500 route. The route has become very popular with overseas visitors and finding good accommodation can be difficult. We decided to use McKinley Kidd and they arranged it all (incl ferries). They also provided an excellent guide to what we should see along the way. Their hotel/B&B choices were first class, and this made for a thoroughly enjoyable holiday...

They also provided an excellent guide to what we should see along the way. Their hotel/B&B choices were first class, and this made for a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. At our various stops along the route we met others who had booked using McKinley Kidd and they, like us, were all delighted with the quality of service they had received.

Mcinley Kidd were happy to tailor our trip to meet our requirements. They supplied a comprehensive travel package, maps and local information which were all very useful. We are very pleased we used them and would happily do so again.
