Another great holiday experience from McKinlay Kidd

I spent a week travelling around Cork & Kerry as part of the Wild Atlantic Way holiday organised by McKinlay Kidd. The arrangements and accommodation were first class. I experienced lovely scenery and friendly and helpful locals. This was complimented by excellent accommodation and food.

See Orkney Differently

We booked a 7 night holiday on Orkney. We visited three islands and had three guided tours. The hotels and tour guides were excellent and we certainly gained a thorough knowledge of life on the Orkneys.

McKinlay Kidd prepared a well planned tour with good hotels and tour guides. There was plenty of time to do our own thing alongside the organised activities. We would be happy to recommend McKinlay Kidd.

Greatest tour of Scotland!

We started off in Edinburgh and took trains to Pitlochry, Inverness, the Isle of Skye, and Spean Bridge. McKinlay Kidd organized every detail so we were not rushed, and had plenty of time to enjoy and absorb each place we visited. Each place they arranged for us to stay was first class, and we felt they had been personally chosen for us. A wonderful experience!

McKinlay Kidd, and especially Caoimhe, was especially helpful and built the whole trip for us. Her attention to detail to ensure everything ran smoothly was so appreciated so we could enjoy our trip without any surprises. They certainly know what they are doing, and do it first class!

Hebridean Excursion

An immaculately planned and organised trip up the Outer Hebrides, from a plane landing on Barra Beach, ferries across the Minch, all clearly documented with great travel advice on sights, restaurants etc.

McKinlay Kidd provided brilliant literature and advice, and their emergency helpline was a godsend when a hotel failed to deliver. They found us an alternative within five minutes on a busy Saturday night.

Classic Round Scotland by Train by Dini, 11 Sep 2019

Great choice of itinerary. We loved the hotels that were part of the tour. Everything was well organized

We did the Classic Scotland by train your which covered the Highlands. The train rides were lovely - great scenery. Each hotel/inn was lovely including excellent breakfasts. In some cases, dinner was also included. The compnay also included a lot of great information about each destination.

Amazing Journey through The Western Isles

Having never visited the Western Isles before and not really knowing what to expect we booked this trip with an open mind. We were not disappointed and it surpassed all our expectations. We started off in Oban to Barra, then North and South Uist, Harris and Lewis and finally Skye. All the islands are different but beautiful in their own way.. Barra, Harris and Lewis were my favourite. The beaches are stunning, even on a cloudy day and the food exceptional. If you enjoy shellfish and fish you cannot get any better than what is served on these islands.. Accommodation also was very good. I have to mention Broadway House which is run by Tom and Sue Reid on Lewis which was outstanding. A wonderful holiday and would definitely go again.

I found McKinlay Kidd on the internet and they were excellent. Very knowledgeable, helpful, professional and supplied a wonderful app full of suggestions, restaurants, walks, drives etc. They organised everything from accommodation to ferries and it all ran like clockwork. First rate.

Outer Hebrides welcome

Enjoyed the friendly people, the beaches and scallops! High winds led to one cancelled ferry, but that just meant we shared the 'normal' experiences of islanders

Dealt with the changes required due to the cancelled ferries in an exemplary manner. Changed what could have been a real hassle into a minor irritation.

Trains, Whisky, Gorgeous Scenery

I chose the West Highlands and Skye itinerary. Maps, brochures, all the details and most important my train and ferry tickets were delivered to my hotel the night before. The McKinlay-Kidd folks acted as a skilled concierge, arranging everything, so that this novice solo traveler had no problem with taxis ferries, trains, hotels and the lovely tour of Skye! And the highlands by train was spectacular! I enjoyed great food and drink, friendly hosts...

What began with an inquiry for a train tour evolved into a lovely drive tour touching on the many, many places we wanted to see. A challenge, but well executed.
