We spent two weeks touring around Ireland by train and also private driving tours. The self guided format for much of the time suited our tastes perfectly. A good balance of scheduled excursions and free time. Excellent communication with McKinlay Kidd and a great app to keep us on track. Nice variety of accommodations all in great locations.

We dealt with Conor who responded to our emails quickly and efficiently. We were given contact numbers of all tour drivers in our itinerary which was very helpful.

They arranged excellent accommodation for each of our 8 nights and provided plenty of information to prepare us for the holiday

From the moment we arrived for the ferry in Oban until we stepped off it back in Oban 7 days later we had smiles on our faces. Everything went so smoothly thanks to a great app providing lots of information and a detailed itinerary.

Kept us very well informed with lots of updates and an app with all our holiday information on it including holiday summary, itinerary and lots of travel tips.

Four girlfriends took the 7-day McKinlay Kidd Scottish Car-Free Island-Hopping Trip in April/May 2023. We started in Glasgow and traveled to Iona, Isle of Mull, and Isle of Skye, with one night inland in Spean Bridge. The trip far exceeded our expectations. Every hotel we stayed in was perfect and the food was amazing. We were surprised by the amount of travel, but we adjusted and were grateful for McKinlay Kidd's itinerary, maps, and Vamoos app for navigating our journey. We had a few travel connection issues, but McKinlay Kidd addressed them as quickly and professionally as possible.

Well organized, smoothly run, trip, covering the islands from far south to far north, with time for historic sites, varied landscape, museums, a distillery, craft demonstrations. Convivial group, excellent tour guide.

We toured Scotland for eight days by train. Traveling by rail allowed us to see the rich diversity and magnificent landscapes of Scotland and experience each stop and it’s attractions. The lodging arrangements were lovely and our hosts very helpful. McKinlay Kidd took the stress out of traveling allowing us to truly enjoy each stop.

The North Coast 500 impresses with its nature, beautiful sandy beaches and friendly people. The single tracks and mountain passes, some of which are in poor condition, are a challenge to drivers. The weather was excellent, so the scenery and nature appeared extremely beautiful

MKK's travel organization was very good and professional. We originally booked the trip in 2019 for 2020 and paid a deposit. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had to abandon our plans. MKK has given us the opportunity to make up for the trip by November 30th, 2023. A complaint about one of our accommodations was also responded to overnight and an alternative was immediately sought. MKK was available on Saturday evening.. Great service!

Really enjoyed our fly drive to Orkney and Shetland. Weather was better than expected and people were very friendly. Enjoyed walking on beaches, visiting museums and other places of interest as well as shopping...food outlets were really good.

Everything was arranged well and accommodation was to a high standard. Comms with tour operator was excellent. and the information provided really helped us make the most of our trip.
