A wonderful experience

We wanted a hassle-free trip where the hard work had been done for us, leaving us to enjoy the amazing scenery and great stopping-off points in beautiful locations. We thought the chosen hotels/pubs/guesthouses were of a very high quality, both for food and comfort.

They were always at the end of the phone or email when we had to contact them. The itinerary was well-chosen and the personal advice for each location extremely helpful.

Custom UK and Ireland by rail

We traveled as a couple by rail from London to Cambridge, York, Hadrian's Wall, the Lake District, Isle of Skye, Glasgow, Stirling, Dublin, Kinsale, Bristol, Bath, and the Cotswolds. We were able to experience all the highlights without having to be in a large tour group being hurried from one site to another.

McKinlay Kidd customized our complex 30-day itinerary as requested. Daniela did a beautiful job of coordinating transfers and finding perfect boutique accommodations. I highly recommend this award-winning team.

Ireland Made Easy

Our third holiday with McKinlay Kidd - previously Scotland and the North of England, and now a week in Ireland taking in Dublin, Galway and Kilkenny. McKK organised the train (and ferry) travel, booked the accommodations, a couple of tours and gave us a range of recommendations- things to do, places to eat and so on. We’ve come to trust them and thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.

We wanted a tour of Shetland and Orkney, with ferries, car hire and accommodation organised for us. McKinlay Kidd did everything we asked and to a very high standard. Everything went to plan and we've had an amazing experience.

A wonderful trip, meticulously planned by McKinlay Kidd. All the accommodation was superb. They did everything for us, including organising a rental car and providing information on places either en route or staying. Couldn’t fault the service.

A great way to see Scotland

The 2 week trip was very well organized with everything going very smoothly. Lovely hotels. Any questions were always answered promptly and while away I wanted to change one of the rail trips, which they did without question.

What an unexpected stunning surprise Scotland was

We completed the NC500 and was our first time in Scotland. All our accommodation was booked for us we had 2 nights in 4 different hotels/B&Bs all of which were outstanding. The views, food, hosts went above and beyond our expectations.
