I thought it was amazing to actually stand in the same places as St. Paul and his companions. It really made the scriptures come to life.

McCabes seem very efficient and had let the hotels and airlines know about my dietary requirements, although I often had to remind them.

A very well planned pilgrimage adapted to meet changing circumstances by an outstanding local Christian guide who did his utmost to ensure that we had a fascinating and most memorable experience during our short stay in the Holy Land. We visited many of the significant sites in Jerusalem and Galilee associated with Jesus's life on earth as well as some worthwhile visits to local Christian projects, other Crusader and Dead Sea sites. We also enjoyed the courtesy and hospitality of a diverse range of local people and some short swims in both the Dead and Galilean Seas. The tour achieved the very difficult balance between giving due priority to our shared Christian heritage while also giving us a powerful insight into some of the challenges faced by local Christian communities without labouring the points. Some of the older pilgrims found the challenging schedule in relatively benign tested their physical endurance and stamina too much.

I found the McCabe website very useful. From my relatively few direct dealings with McCabe Pilgrimages, I consider them to be a very pleasant and professional organisation. I would recommend any prospective pilgrim to the Holy Land to contact McCabes without reservation.

The itinerary was well planned to maximise both our time at the individual sites and our overall experience. This was a wonderful experience with an excellent guide and leader. We saw and did so much. The accommodation and food was first rate throughout. It was much more than a holiday, it was a life enhancing event which I have not ceased to recommend to others.

McCabe Pilgrimage's attention to detail was superb. I truly felt that I was being looked after on my trip. Added to this there were no hidden charges, the inclusion of all meals was a very sensible option and helped make even more of the experience as the restaurants were not only good most had a great deal of character. The busy schedule did not feel rushed which was another bonus.

The only extra I would like is more time to take in the information and feeling of the places we visited. Otherwise I enjoyed everything.

Everything is very well organised, the guides are excellent and have lots of time to answer all the questions.

We travelled in safety & comfort the length of Greece from Kavala[Neapolis] to Athens & Corinth, in contrast to St Paul's experiences...A very full itinerary, with long coach stretches...but an extra day would add to the cost. Well qualified Greek guide & enlightening input from Dr Mark Vernon, travelling with us, so we understood the all purveying Greek Cultural influence across the Mediterranean, influencing both Christ's & St Paul's teaching ..making Delphi, The Acropolis, Eleusis & Corinth, particularly enlightening. Seeing the places St Paul visited, reading his letters & the account in Acts as we followed after him, brought the Bible to personal life....an uplifting holiday !

Happy with all the hotels, A well resourced itinerary.

A pilgrimage organized through McCabe ,staying in two places - Jerusalem and Tiberias, with guided tours to various sites of religious significance. The commentaries were highly informative,covering history and religion, pitched at a level that suited the audience, the guide and driver were helpful and very pleasant, excellent English and sense of humour.

McCabe were really well organized, sending information about the planned itinerary, useful information etc. Choice of high standard hotels and restaurants really enhanced the trip.

We were on a pilgrimage through Greece travelling where St Paul travelled. It was a brilliant experience taking us from the north to the south of Greece. The tour operator had left nothing to chance and the Guide was one of the best I have worked with.

McCabe's have years of experience in organising Christian pilgrimages. We never book Southwark Cathedral pilgrimages with any other company.

The pilgrimage was great. MaCabe saw to it that we were well catered for. A member of staff greeting us at 3.30am in the morning, welcomed us on arrival, saw to it that we were not only provided for; we were also made safe and welcome every where we went. The coach driver was very good and experienced. The guide Mara to me was above excellent. Knowledgeable, professional, polite and patience. They made a difficult journey look and feel easy even for the elderly. Rosemarie our co ordinator and go between was also very helpful. Thank you MaCabe.
