In the Footsteps of Northern Saints

It was very well organised and all like-minded people. The coach driver was excellent and both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

My husband and I have now been on 4 McCabe Pilgrimages and are planning to go on another one in 2016. Everything is organised extremely well and all the staff are very friendly people. When flying out of one airport and arriving back at another, transport is laid on for those who have cars or hotels at the first one, which is an extremely good thing. I don't think many companies would do this.

An informative few days in some beautiful countryside.

a pilgrimage to Lindisfarne via Durham incorporating Jarrow, Chester-le-Street and the Angel of the North. The days were well planned for both timing and interest. Accommodation good and travel very comfortable.

A pilgrimage - 'In the footsteps of the Northern Saints.'

It was well organised. Accommodation very good. We travelled around by coach. The leaders were really good, helpful and informative. The whole time was well organised and was a wonderful experience.

I have been on two pilgrimages to the holy Land through McCabes. I can't rate them highly enough. They certainly know how to arrange excellent pilgrimages. I would feel very confident about taking part in any trip they organised.

A brilliantly organised pilgrimage

In the Footsteps of the Northern Saints took us to Lindisfarne, Chester le Street, Jarrow, The Angel of the North and Durham all in 3 days yet it seemed relaxed and peaceful. Accommodation at St Aidan's college was comfortable and convenient. Excellent local guides were available at each place.

Always a learning experience never boring.

My pilgrimages with McCabe, always makes me want to invite others to come and see and experience. I have never been disappointed and I don't know any member of my group who has express disappointment, quiet the contrary. Looking forward to the next one.

McCabe always make sure that all things are taken care of and they personally see to it that people are happy with their requirements. Nothing is too much within reason. I have been travelling with them since early nineties, and every time I know and trust that I am in safe hands, no matter where I am.

McCabe Pilgrimage - In the footsteps of the Northern Saints

This was the first UK pilgrimage arranged by McCabes. I initially had to go on a waiting list and there were 50 on this first week and 100 on the second week. The pilgrimage was extremely well organized and there was nothing more to pay if you did want to spend more.

I have travelled with McCabe previously and there is very much a family feel about the company. By the time I expressed an interest there was a waiting list and they seemed as pleased as me to ring and tell me that there was such interest that they were putting on a second Pilgrimage. The leadership, which included a McCabe family member, was wonderful.

It was an Excellent time away perhaps it wasn't long enough!

This was a 4 night, 3 day holiday, to Durham, staying in St. Aidan's College. We were taken by coach to Lindisfarne, Jarrow & Chester-Le-Street & then had a day in Durham City. We learnt a lot about the importance of the Northern Saints as it were, of Cuthbert, Bede & Aidan & their effect on early Christianity in Britain. We learnt a lot about the importance of the Northern Saints as it were, of Cuthbert, Bede & Aidan & their effect on early Christianity in Britain. Durham Cathedral is fantastic with excellent acoustics. The food was good & accommodation basic but good, as were the Leaders of the Group of about 50 people. The only slight downside was great difficulty with the College WiFi to let family & friends know where you were!

I have been on a Pilgrimage with McCabe before & found them to be excellent at home & abroad. The Leaders always seem very helpful & knowledgeable.
