As a group we have travelled with McCabe on many occasions. Everything about the organisation, arrangements, accommodation, tour guides etc. was - as always - top notch.

McCabe specialise in pilgrimages to holy places. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone wanting a spiritually uplifting and culturally fascinating experience.

This was only my second visit to Spain and I particularly wanted to see places associated with St.Teresa. I was not disappointed... We stayed 6 nights in the beautiful walled city of Avila, but also visited other historic towns in this part of Spain and had one day in the capital Madrid. We had excellent local guides to accompany us throughout and tell us more about the life and work of St.Teresa and St.John of the Cross, as well as much more about Spanish history and culture. There was also ample free time to explore for ourselves and practise our Spanish...... We stayed in some lovely hotels and altogether it was a great experience.

I have now done two pilgrimages with McCabe Pilgrimages and would certainly recommend this tour operator to anyone desirous of undertaking a pilgrimage to important places in the history of Christianity.

Well designed Pilgrimage to Holy Land calling at most important sites from Galilee to Jerusalem with free time to vist personal requests.

McCabe took complete charge of costs & administration with least amount of fuss.

An ecumenical Pilgrimage of 23 people to Rome and Assisi to encounter some of the great saints whose lives have inspired Christians through the ages. Flew from Manchester to Rome. Focused on the city’s patron saints Peter and Paul, comprehensive programme of sightseeing which included visits to all the major sites of ancient and imperial Rome and the Vatican City with an opportunity to participate in a papal audience with Pope Francis. Folllowing this, we travelled to the beautiful hilltop town of Orvieto before spending three nights in the medieval walled city of Assisi, home of St. Francis, set amidst the peace and tranquillity of the Umbrian Countryside. Excellent English speaking Italian guide who stayed with us in Rome and Assisi.

McCabes are a first class operator with whom I have traveled a number of times - can't recommend them enough. Have excellent staff in London and in countries of travel. Excellent publicity and organisation.

Visited Istanbul and the sites of the Seven Churches from Revelation. Also some of the sites linked with St Paul - it was excellent!

All was well organized and we were looked after really well.

Pilgrimage trip to Israel and Palestine. Good advise before hand. By myself but in a well organised and friendly group.

McCabe Pilgrimages supplied lots of information and advise in preparation. Team leader and local guide were excellent. Catered well for age and ability of the group.

Pilgrimage to Jerusalem, Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, Bethlehem ect visiting areas where Jesus performed many miracles was amazing, one could picuture him there with us. The Dead Sea experience was overwhelming and walking in the Dessert was just too hard to describe, amazing. This pilgrimage was made very special by the fact that the Guide and the Coach Driver looked after us, made us feel safe and could not do enough for us. The Guide was so knowledgeable we learnt so much as well as experiencing being in the most Holy places.

McCabes - first class - booking was easy all done through post. Insurance explained fully. Tour person to meet us at Heathrow saw us through to Departures. Tour Guide with us at Tele viv and again was with us right through to Departures. They organised a very good Guide and Coach Driver for our Pilgrimage with made the whole experience even more memorable

This was a tailored pilgrimage "The Jakobsweb" which lasted 9 days. It was pretty busy and very well organised. We had sightseeing in Vienna and Saltzberg and did 5 walks in between which were part of the 'Way of St James', on suitable paths for our age group. We visited places of worship and monasteries, and drove through some beautiful mountainous countryside in Austria, including the wine-growing area. We also had guided tours of the cities. We had excellent hotels and the pre-arranged meals were all to our taste. Altogether a very good trip.

McCabe is particularly good at putting in little extras, like a visit which would not normally be on an itinerary. The hotels were all very good indeed and the timetable most suitable to our needs. There was time factored in to do a bit of personal sightseeing or relaxing as well as the pre-arranged tours. All the guides were extremely knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Having been on several McCabe holidays, I would not wish to try anybody else. I am extremely satisfied with the way they approach things and they are always there to answer any questions should the need arise.

We went on a pilgrimage along the St Jacob's weg. It was partly visiting major cities Vienna, Linz Salzburg and Innsbruck ending up in Oberammergau also walking part of the pilgrim's route. We were a group of 30 who came together for services and a very spiritual experience. The scenery in the summer was wonderful particularly in the mountains and we stayed in lovely hotels with excellent food. We had good local guides in all the cities and were accompanied by an experienced tour manager. The highlight was our visit to Oberammergau and a final service in the Lutherian church there. There were no complaints or low moments.

McCabe are very experienced at arranging pilgrimages and our tour manager was excellent kept us together on time and was full of humour. We had a very good driver who managed to get us up to the mountain churches in the coach along some very narrow roads. Also the leader of our group Jenny Jeapes was excellent and has led many pilgrimages.

a wonderful experience very full on and tiring but so worth it as we saw and experienced such a lot. the memories of the holy land will last with me forever.

very efficient. tickets arrived well in advance and the information was very comprehensive with all the information you could possibly need for your holiday.
