It was a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in a group, it was well organised from start to finish

The tour operator organised us to visit all the important areas relating to our pilgrimage and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave an excellent account of each area we visited.

Small group (17 plus guide) of mainly URC members led by retired URC minister David Hamblin, with a Palestinian Christian official guide. Eight days, visiting places where the historical Jesus, his parents and disciples are recorded as living and visiting, conducting Christian acts of worship at many of them. A good deal of walking, and transport by coach. Two centres viz Jerusalem and Tiberias. Very, very well organised, and not only would I wholeheartedly recommend it, but would go again myself.

We chose to go with McCabe as it was being led by our dear friend, David Hamblin, who we have known for 30 years. We were also very fortunate to be travelling with some lovely people. We all got on together very well and this really enhanced the experience. We appreciated the contrast in the 2 centre locations of our stay. The local guide had a great manner about him and shared his knowledge really well with a good sense of humour too! The hotels we stayed om Jerusalem and Tiberias were bith very comfortable with excellent facilities and food.

It was a Christian pilgrimage to Biblical sites in Turkey. I have travellled with McCabe before and they have always been reliable. We learned a lot, accommodation and foood were mostly good.

I have travellled with McCabe before and they are always reliable and flexible in terms of meeting our requests. They offer good value for money.

We were well looked after in confortable hotels and well fed in the restaurants selected for lunch these serving, in some cases, reflecting local eating styles. During the day we were shown around by local guide who had an execelent knowledg of the history of the area and were happy to share their own experience and thoughts (whilst making it obvious they were personal thoughts) giving some insight to what it is like to live in the area. This as a truely memorable holdiday.

They were present at the airports and border crossings to ensure that these caused the least possible problems. A really good programme was organised and they kept their eye on the situation: the program was modified due to security risks whilst we were in the Holy Land. Despite the tensions in the area I never felt I was in danger, but was aware of the tensions. Hotels and restauarants were also well chosen. They also offer a good insurance policy.
