Ten days in the Holy Land is not a holiday so be prepared for early starts, long days and far too many other pilgrims who get in your way! Also accept that some of the sites and places may not have been the actual site, for example, the hill of the shepherds and mount of temptation so your need to think of them as symbolic.

We were given the correct amount of information , not too much but enough to ensure we were fully prepared,for example, proper footwear.

Excellent organisation on the part of McCabe. Provided an amazing guide, efficient and reliable transport throughout and brilliant programming of sites and activities. Would definitely recommend travelling to Israel with this very professional and experienced company.

Efficient.

Excellent from start to finish. Particularly liked having everything arranged - sights to see pre booked and paid for - lunches pre booked and paid. Also all tips arranged by leader - we pre paid so simplifying everything Guide, Gulgun was helful,very knowledgeable and resourceful organising some extra excursions for us locally

Brochure laid out clearly the complete itinerary so easy to know what we would be visiting. Easy to book and very well organised re guide, coaches, internal flights and all sightseeing and meals.

The tour guide's knowledge was fantastic and could not be faulted in anyway. We packed a lot in to the tour and was perceived as real value for money. For those considering a visit Israel, please do.

On the whole they were good. It could have been improved by allocating seats together and not misplacing he passport details form. But it did not spoil the experience too much.

It acceeded my expectations: the cultural aspects of the trip - Istanbul as a city, what we saw there, was amazing. The Remembrance aspect at Gallipoli was poingant and very moving: our guide and driver helped us to pay our respects at all the places we wanted to visit - including some very personal remembrances. The ancient cities of Western Turkey were all much more interesting than we ever imagined - and beautiful weather too. Not too busy, lovely food, well we were in heaven really. The whole thing went so smoothly.

McCabe were first class - nothing was too much trouble and everything was well planned and carried through.

It was wonderful to leave the murky October weather in London behind for warm sunshine in Israel. The trip was absolutely fascinating. We saw some marvellous places which were brought to life by the captivating explanations of the guide. Holy Communion in the open air gives you an idea of what life must have been like in Biblical times.

It provides good hotels. I like the fact that at the hottest part of the day we were always in the shade. The itinerary was flexible enough to accommodate changing circumstances.

We stayed in Jerusalem for six days and Tiberius for four days during mid-October 2015. Sam, was our guide around all the sites we visited. His excellent in-depth knowledge helped us to understand and assimilate the relevant facts. He was very friendly and supportive as was the tour coach driver Sakker - they made an good team. The tour was planned by the Reverend Michael Nokes and Dianne Gamble and was very comprehensive.

McCabe Pilgrimages excelled themselves in providing us with a comprehensive and extremely enjoyable holiday.

We stayed 6 nights in Jerusalem and 4 nights in Tiberius. Our local guide was gracious, knowledgeable, helpful, multilingual, and liked by all. We would have preferred a shorter time in Jerusalem given the political tensions at the time, which restricted freedom of personal movement. Longer in Tiberius would have been better, and more free time to relax and swim etc. Our visit to the Dead Sea was memorable, but when one older member of our party entered the water and slipped, and his head went under and he could not right himself till a lifeguard came, we felt more warning should be given advising older people against going in alone. The gentleman recovered but was badly shaken. If he had had someone with him, he could have been helped more quickly.
