We were united in our common aim of interest in and support for the Palestinian community in Israel/Palestine. We enjoyed the delights of visiting historic sites at Acre, Mt. Carmel, Beth Shan, the Jordan River, Mar Saba, Bethlehem and Jerusalem. We were able to share with children and staff in a School for Blind Children and people with many needs in a Hospital for Rehabilitation, and we experienced something of the pain and frustration suffered by people under occupation.

The staff at McCabe Pilgrimages are unfailingly friendly and efficient in providing personal service for all who travel with them. They prepare their tours very thoroughly with the help of well established agents and everything is built on long-established personal relationships and a concern for the ideals expressed in Pilgrimage.

Three night were spent in Galilee, always an uplifting experience whatever the weather. While there we did a sponsored walk for the McCabe Educational Trust. We then spent four nights in Bethlehem, a salutary experience causing one to realise the conditions the Palestinians face on a daily basis.

McCabe Pilgrimages is an outstanding company with friendly helpful staff; no problem is ever too great. I am grateful to be given the opportunity to contribute to their charity the McCabe Educational Trust which helps people in the countries they visit.

We travelled to Ethiopia on a Christian pilgrimage. We saw numerous Christian churches, monasteries etc. ancient sites built into the rock and caves in the mountains. We helped to celebrate the Coptic Christmas. We learned a good deal about the indigenous population and met a number of kind, gentle people who are extremely welcoming to visitors. I found this trip uplifting and educational.

Excellent. I have been on several pilgrimages with McCabe and they never let me down. They know their distinations and if you need any advice, they are very happy to talk to you before you depart. I feel I am in good hands when they are in charge and never have any worries.

It was a transformative experience: I shall dwell on the memories.
