This was a wonderful opportunity to see the sites of the Holy Land with a small friendly christian group led by a well informed tour guide. As well as staying in Jerusalem, we were able to experience life in the Palestinian quarter first hand and visited a camp where we cooked a meal with Palestinian women in Bethlehem. We travelled extensively throughout Israel from Massada in the Judean desert to the Sea of Galilee in the North. It was fascinating to meet all the different people in what was a thought provoking experience that made this holiday unique.

I have travelled with McCabe Pilgrimages twice now. They are efficient and one feels completely confident that should any issue arise, that this would be dealt with. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

It was 10 days of amazing sights and experiences. We could never have fitted all that in if travelling on one's own. The Holy Land is a complex and fascinating place to visit on so many levels. We had an excellent guide and driver and stayed in some lovely hotels where we were able to relax after the information packed days.

My holiday was a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, so I went with high expectations and these were exceeded. Our guide was wonderful and we came away very well informed about the history, political situation etc, as well as the Biblical and worship aspects. It was also a good holiday with beautiful hotels and meals

The tour was planned to perfection but with the flexibility to change if circumstances demanded. We never had a moment's worry and could just sit back and enjoy!

Thorough planning 'behind the scenes' meant that everything went very smoothly, with the only delays relating to take of time of aircraft.

We spent four nights in Rome and three nights in Assisi. We were given an expert guided tour of the main sites in Rome and heard about their history and significance to the development of the Christian faith. We also had opportunities to share worship together with each other and with our tour guide. We then moved on to Assisi and its quiet and reflective atmosphere provided a welcome contrast to the bustle, noise and crowds of Rome. It was moving to follow in the footsteps of St Francis, be shown the key sites in his life and to sense the peace that he felt and preached to everyone.

The tour operator was very good. The whole trip was very well planned so we could see as much as possible in the time and not be too exhausted. The hotels chosen were comfortable with excellent food, the travel arrangements all ran smoothly and we had an excellent local guide who became a friend and part of the group. I found this a very easy way to ensure I saw the most important sites and was well looked after the whole time.

Very well organised and extremely enjoyable. A wonderfully spiritual experience.
