Some changes to the itinerary would be beneficial, particularly the length of the day's walking tour of Rome. Two half-days would have been more enjoyable and far less tiring. The single supplement charged for solo travellers didn't always provide value for money as the single rooms in one hotel were cell-like.

Great care was taken by the Tour leader to ensure we enjoyed our Pilgrimage and the tour was in the main well-organised by McCabes. I've been on three pilgrimages with this operator and if a full-on pilgrimage is desired rather than a relaxing sight-seeing holiday, it's worth booking with them.

This was not a 'holiday' in any sense of the word. It was infinitely better - an in-depth insight into one of the most fascinating and spiritually enriching countries in the world. Ethiopia is not for everyone. But, if you have an excellent guide (as we did) and an inspiring spiritual leader (as we did), it will change your life.

This is our fourth McCabe pilgrimage - which says a lot. They chose the best hotels in the six locations we visited and many charming restaurants in wonderful locations. Our guide, Johannes, was quite superb and our spiritual leader was no less than the Archdeacon of Lincoln! If pilgrimages are your thing, you need look no further than McCabe.

Holy Land pilgrimage was the best experience that ever happened to me. McCabe was extraordinarily excellent. Hotels, transfers, locations and our guide was beyond excellent. Knowledge of our Guide was breadth taking. I will do the same again very soon but this time no distraction of my camera. Loved it Loved it. Maybe option of upgrade to premium economy on flight would be welcomed especially for older pilgrims.

A Pilgrimage which was well balanced with a two centre stay in Jerusalem and Tiberias. The hotels and quality of food at the hotels were excellent as also were our lunch time meals.The itinerary was very full and challenging, given that I walk with a rolator. There was little free time but we got the very best out of the Pilgrimage in terms of content.Each day there was the opportunity to discuss the day with the leaders of the Pilgrimage. Our accompanying Guide and driver were brilliant.

The tour was organised by Brian and Karen Senior who are very experienced in running Pilgrimages to the Holy Land and this showed throughout the Pilgrimage.

Wonderful pilgrimage to Holy Land - great guide, hotels, restaurants, sights. Days and itinerary organised well. No complaints at all.

McCabe - very well organised and helpful

I booked this pilgrimage having used McCabe Pilgrimages before. The landscape and people of Ethiopia are both warm and beautiful. The churches and monasteries we visited were incredible with regards to their construction and beauty. The artwork in each was worth the climb and I can honestly say I wouldn’t have missed this trip for the world.

McCabe build good relationships with tour guides and the hotels they use which makes a big difference when travelling with them. I tend to travel alone and have always felt very safe with McCabe.

Poor quality of accommodation for a premium priced holiday.

Local organisation didn't seem properly briefed nor even knowledgeable about local conditions.

2 centre Pilgrimage to Holy Land

This pilgrimage to Israel was excellent in its tour of major biblical sites - Old and New Testament. The visits were interspersed with some relaxing activities e.g. Dead Sea swim, and boat trip on Lake Galilee- we were also well informed on the political scene today and visited some charitable concerns. So much packed in - with good leaders, guide, happy fellow travellers, and good hotels. I felt the whole 12 day trip was a unique and memorable experience.

Mc Cabe is a Christian tour company operating for many years , with much experience of Israel and so I had confidence that the holiday would go smoothly- and it did not disappoint in any aspect.

McCabe's staff are friendly, accommodating and efficient. We felt well looked after by McCabe before, during, and after the trip.
