The holiday was everything we could have wished for. From the moment we landed in Tel Aviv to the moment we left Ben Gurion Airport we were overwhelmed by this stunningly beautiful place.

Everything seems to have been arranged to provide a seamlessly stunning and inclusive holiday. From our amazing and very knowledgeable guide to the array of beautiful and meaningful places were visited we could have not asked for more.

The pilmigrage was brilliant but unfortunately I didn't get to got o Nazareth as I had an upset stomach

Everything organised well in advance and email contact for any queries. They secured me an aisle seat on both flights as I had knee problems and needed to be able to stretch out.

The journey met our expectations being extremely well organised and the content very interesting, varied historically, culturally informative, and spiritually based all being enjoyed in the company of a very hard working and competent but jolly leader and friendly fellow pilgrims. The provision of top rate meals and wine was generous.

The tour operator is highly knowledgeable, commended on its attention to detail, and thankfully faultless planning.

The two centre trip - Tiberias and Jerusalem- covered a huge amount. We visited a wide range of sites with a knowledgeable guide and enjoyed two well-placed hotels and lots of lovely lunch spots. Wake-up calls were very early, but worth it to avoid some crowds. Hotel food in Jerusalem was a little variable.

Everything was well organised and things went as smoothly as they could in, at times, a challenging environment.

Despite thunderstorms - the Spring rains that made the scenery blissfully green! - we enjoyed a week of very varied experiences. We walked along the coast near Latchi where a marine conservation zone protected turtles (who come to lay their eggs there every year) and delighted in the turquoise waters and the wild flowers growing among the rocks. We visited villages in the hills and had demonstrations of how to make local bread and halloumi cheese - and made our own cheese and olive rolls for lunch. We had morning prayer in some lovely Greek Orthodox churches, one dating to the 6th century AD, and were amazed by the mosaics in the "House of Dyonysios" in Paphos and the "Tombs of the Kings".

We have been on several pilgrimages with McCabe, to the Holy Land, Greece, Turkey and India - and chose them for the Cyprus trip because we knew they would give us an interesting, well-informed week and would look after us well.
