Well organised, personal service

A 10 day visit to Israel and Jordan covering Jerusalem, Petra, other sites in Jordan and Galilee. Flights with EL AL from Luton and back to Heathrow were very good. Accommodation was excellent although the Petra hotel was in urgent need of renovation. Guides in both Israel and Jordan were superb. Pilgrimage was full board and all hotel evening meals and lunchtime restaurants were excellent.

Our second Holy Land pilgrimage with McCabes. Organisation has been excellent on both occasions.

A comprehensive and varied programme visiting the most important Christian sites in the Holy land with an opportunity to engage with local people. We stayed in wonderful hotels in perfect locations.

Thorough preparatory work by McCabes who were always happy to answer queries. They kept us well informed about the situation in Jerusalem in the days prior to our departure.

I was seeking information about Israel to compare and add to what I had previously learned about Jordan. This trip fully provided what I sought in an acceptable way

Despits any slight concerns about the increasing Israeli/Palestine tensions before we left our time staying in Jerusalem and travelling around and through it were very safe. The distant gunshot-like reports at night together with armed checkpoints seemed to reflect the very atmospshere of the place. With McCabe Pilgrimages' very knowledgeable guide we visited most of the significant sites for a Christian Pilgrimage in Jerusalem,Bethany,Nazareth, Bethlehem & Dead Sea,before travelling north to Tiberias to experience Galilee. Places associated with Jesus' miracles, the calling of the fishermen as his disciples and Capernaum where he lived and taught in the Synagogue.Even in this off season time it was sunny and warm and there was a constant flow of different tour groups. Our hotels were comfortable, clean and served a wide variety of excellent food, our midday meals were at quieter less crowded venues but again all serving good quality plentiful food which after an early start each day and a morning spent travelling, walking and taking in lots of information we were ready to eat again. Well planned itinaary, always something of interest to see.

McCabes claim that they have built up knowledge and experience particularly in Holy Land Pilgrimages. This has shown to be very true. All their work had been done beforehand and everything appeared to happen seemlessly.Their trusted and well-tried hotels were well located and comfortable, the transport was comfortable and the itinery was well filled.

We had a splendid pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine. It was efficiently and professionally organised, with flexibility built in, to cope with necessary changes in places (closed crossings, a cycle race!)Excellent level of accommodation and food. Highly recommended

WELL PORGANISED AND CONSIDERATE, THE ONLY COMMENT WOULD BE THAT IT WAS NOT MADE CLEAR ENOUGH HOW MOBILE ONE NEEDED TO BE TO COPE WITH ALL THE WALKIONG AND CLIMBING INVOLVED, FORTUNATELY EVERYONE COPED OK
