A 'full on', well organised tour of the Holy Land.

Six nights in Jerusalem and three nights by the Sea of Galilee with tours each day to the main sites. It was rather hectic and tiring but a wonderful experience.

Good pre-departure information. Flights and accommodation excellent and first rate tour guide. All inclusive so minimal extra monies required which was useful.

Our holdiay experience was superb

Our holiday was a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. McCabe organised everything to the last detail. Our group appreciated the professional way in with McCabe dealt with all their queries. Everything went without a hitch. Hotels and restaurants were superb and everyone was full of praise for the tour company, local agency, tour guide, coach and coach driver.

Rating for tour operator:

Excellent from beginning to end. I would use them again for any pilgrimage we would undertake and that they would organise. Brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble.

Trip to the Holy Land.

The trip was a pilgrimage which took in all the sights expected to be visited on such a holiday. The first 6 days were in Jerusalem in a hotel located close to the Damascus Gate. Accommodation and food were excellent. Excursions were included every day along with a very knowledgeable tour guide. The last 3 days were spent in Tiberias, which was again a brilliant experience.

What a wonderful holiday. The whole experience was fantastic and I could not fault the organisation in any way. Both hotels were good and located well. Transfers to and from the airport were good. The programme was well planned to experience everything which I had hoped to encounter on a pilgrimage.

Holy Land at a glace Pilgimage

An exciting, very full on pilgrimage which included holy sites in and around Jerusalem, incorporating the tensions in that area between the various religious groups. Slightly disappointed with the trip to the Dead Sea as access facilities to the water were very poor and unmanageable for many of our group. The area around the Sea of Galilee much more calm and easier to experience life in Jesus' time. Especially liked the trip by boat over the Sea...

Slightly disappointed with the trip to the Dead Sea as access facilities to the water were very poor and unmanageable for many of our group. The area around the Sea of Galilee much more calm and easier to experience life in Jesus' time. Especially liked the trip by boat over the Sea. Most aspects of the tour were well thought out and flowed from one place to another, although at times it seemed very hectic with early starts and perhaps too many places to see and experience adequately in one day. Very well looked after for the full 10 days and would recommend the trip to others.

Rating for tour operator:

Felt secure booking through McCabe as they have lots of experience with running Holy Pilgrimages over the years. The places we visited were very interesting and relevant to bible readings and songs. We liked the way we visited local charities and supported them through having lunch there and seeing the work they do.

A pilgrimage of a lifetime to the Holy Land.

9 days pilgrimage in the Holy Land with a local guide. Great hotels and lovely food. The local guide made the trip extra special with his wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm.

Pilgrimage to Holy Land

This was a very 'full on' tour of the holy land. Well organised and well led. We had a large group and rather exhausting programme but thoroughly enjoyable.

Generally very well organised but I had a problem regarding the need to pay up front for travel insurance when I knew I needed specialist insurance and they would not insure me.

I hadn't expected to have as much freedom in Jerusalem as we actually had - security was present but low key. Galilee was a great highlight and a more relaxing time, even with the sound of gunfire from over the Golan Heights on one occasion. The Judaean desert especially with Masada and Qumran was a great experience in exceptional terrain.

Rating for tour operator:

It was great to have people who helped us through from Heathrow onwards, an excellent guide with detailed knowledge, and the use of the bus to take us quickly where we needed to go to maximise time available. McCabe also puts money into charities in the Holy Land and it was thought provoking and delightful to see two of their supported projects. The itinerary as a whole was well planned and absorbing. I would love to go back some time and would be more than happy to be on McCabe's list again.
