Delightful music in spectacular settings

Music of Vivaldi performed by excellent musicians in lovely places. Great hotel. Vaporetto pass made seeing Venice very easy.

Palladian villas tour

A richly rewarding tour of Palladian villas in the Veneto with an excellent and amusing young architectural historian and a small, group of thoughtful admirers of the remarkable architect. Included meals, hotel and travel excellent -- and surprisingly reasonably priced.

Le Corbusier: Through France and Switzerland

We visited about two Le Corbusier buildings each day traveling by bus and train. The hotels and meals were always of a high standard.

Scottish History and Identity

It was a weekend in Edinburgh packed with interesting lectures, delivered by experts, ranging over many aspects of Scotland and its history. We had time to socialise in between lectures and very enjoyable dinners and a reception. The staff were all charming and the organisation made everything easy and pleasant. The choice of hotel was excellent: very comfortable and ideally situated. It was a great weekend with an intensity of experience.

Interesting symposium with excellent, (well qualified) lecturers covering a wide range of topics within a historical survey.

See above. This was a short visit to Edinburgh giving opportunity for a limited amount of personal tourism, i.e. museums, etc.; administration before and during was excellent - any questions were answered fully and promptly.

The Cradle of Modern Art from Barcelona to Collioure, Arles and Nice.

We enjoyed visiting historically interesting places with fascinating museums and sights and wonderful art in the company of an excellent lecturer and like minded travelers. We stayed in great hotels in good positions and reveled in the delicious local food.

Rating for tour operator:

The Martin Randal office in our home town Brisbane was helpful in every way, which was most reassuring as I had had some health problems and was not sure that I would be fit to travel in time for the trip. As it turned out I was able to enjoy every moment of the tour. The tour was impeccably planned and the tour manager ensured that it all ran to that plan.
