Every since I was young, I have always wanted to visit Japan. It's the only destination I've been interested in, so when the time finally came to book my trip to Japan, I wanted it to be perfect. That's when I found InsideJapan Tours (InsideAsia Tours.) As a first time solo traveller, the company dealt with everything for me and I was left without any worries so I could enjoy the holiday I had waited, what felt like a lifetime, for. From friendly, knowledgeable travel consultants, to experienced and professional tour guides, this company has it all. I got amazing value for money, I got to have amazing experiences and most of all, I got to create memories that will last forever.

InsideAsia Tours are a brilliant company to deal with. Their travel consultants are friendly, knowledgeable and are easy to contact. Being a first time solo traveller, I had a lot of questions and every single one was answered without hassle. Their tour guides are just as experienced and knowledgeable and provided me with all the information I needed to maximise my trip to it's full potential. Everything was made simple and easy for myself and their tours are amazing value for money and so worth saving up for!

Great tour with lots of variety and off the beaten track experiences. Covered lots of ground using a variety of transportation, busses, trains, bikes and taxis. Local food experiences were interesting, sometimes amazing and sometime not so but wonderful to be able to try.

Highest quality service from initial enquiry to making a booking. Tour literature excellent making arrival and departure straightforward (much needed in Japan) Special touch was a Japanese translation of vegetarian food to give to waiters to make food ordering easy.

We had never been outside Europe and wanted something different. We stumbled on the Inside Asia Tours website and saw a package which looked relevant to what we were after. We had never used a tour operator before, preferring to hand-pick our own holidays to giverify us more freedom. However following an email to Inside Asia tours and a little research on creating our own tour we decided to spend a little more and ask an expert... We were not disappointed! Our rep listened to our suggestions for what we wanted and tailored us a 7 day itinerary exploring central Japan. We were sent very detailed information about the country itself, specific information about each region we were to travel to and a clear and detailed itinerary. We were also sent accommodation vouchers and transport passes,this made navigating the language barrier much easier as we were able to hand over the appropriate documentation and the locals welcomed us warmly knowing exactly what we wanted. On arrival in Japan we found that our accommodation surpassed all of our expectations. We found our personalised, detailed itinerary booklet invaluable as it listed exactly which trains to use. We especially loved the flexibility offered in our itinerary, we were given suggested times to travel but there was sufficient detail for us to decide whether to get an earlier or later train. Booking through Inside Asia Tours meant that reps with experience of travelling in the region were able to suggest activities and trips we definitely wouldn't have thought of for ourselves, such as our night of relaxation in a traditional Ryokan. We had an amazing time and will definitely use this agency again.

Professional, friendly, knowledgeable. We received fantastic, detailed information prior to our trip which served not only to give us invaluable information, but as it arrived a couple of weeks before we travelled, also made us more excited for our holiday.

The Hidden Japan tour from Inside Japan was an experience I will never forget and have not stopped talking about since getting back home. It gave me a real insight into contemporary and historical aspects of Japanese cultures. From having tea with a Maiko to catching the Shinkansen it had it all. As an artist I had the opportunity to experience a plethora of sights, sounds and smells. All of which carried with them sparks of inspiration that will last until I return to Japan next year. I enjoyed my time so much I had already decided that I would return whilst I was still in Japan. Our Tour leader was the definition of amazing. Knowledgeable, funny, friendly and enthusiastic. His love of Japan made ours even more vivid and visceral. It felt like he was sharing his secrets with his close friends not a bunch of strangers he had met a few days previously. I cannot recommend this tour, this tour operator or Japan enough. I can't wait to go back and I know I will be very well looked after from start to finish with Inside Japan tours. Thank you.

Amazing, Inside Japan tours know there stuff and treat you as well as you could possibly hope for. I will use them again next year and recommend them to anyone thinking about travelling to Japan.

Absolutely incredible first holiday for us. Our expectations were exceeded at every corner to the point where I was questioning whether it was too good to be true! I couldn't praise them highly enough for their service and for giving us the best holiday of our lives (so far!)

Fantastic experience!

Three-week trip around central and southern Honshu and Shikoku, with pre-teen kids, starting from Tokyo. We wanted to get a real feel for Japan, as well as seeing shrines, castles and museums. Toby at InsideJapan recommended guides where appropriate and several activities, such as sea-kayaking and cycling around the Naoshima Art Island, which we wouldn't have considered otherwise. I feel that we really made the most of our trip!

Toby at InsideJapan was excellent from the moment we made contact - he was very attentive to our requirements and tailored a trip that fitted our requests and our budget precisely. We only made tiny changes to his suggested itinerary so the whole process was really hassle-free from our end - our one last-minute request was handled quickly and efficiently. We really felt we were in safe hands and had the peace-of-mind of knowing that if anything untoward did crop up, we could rely on InsideJapan to help us sort it out.

I participate in the HYPERJAPAN J-Pop & Go tour through InsideJapan tours. I was traveling with my 3 children (ages 17, 12 and 12). The tour took us from Tokyo to Hakone to Kyoto to Hiroshima to Osaka and then back to Tokyo. We explored the bustling Akihabara and Harajuku areas, stayed in a traditional ryokan in Hakone, visited quiet gardens and popular tourist attractions. We tried many different dishes from traditional Japanese breakfast to takoyaki to okonomiyaki to sashimi along with treats such as green tea and black sesame ice cream. The trip was action packed but still we had some time to explore on our own. We left with a love for Japan and desire to go back again in the future.

Prior to the tour, our trip coordinator, Amy, helped us make arrangements (traveling with 3 children and 1 adult required alternate accommodations in some instances) unique to our situation and answered my multitude of questions. On the tour, our tour leader, Brett, made my kids feel at home, helped us get around on our own and made sure that we made it to all the areas on our jam-packed itinerary. He did this all with patience and enthusiasm. His love for Japan spread to all of us.

Inside Japan tours were incredibly friendly and efficient from first enquiry through to our journey home. From pre travel information which was comprehensive and an interesting read ( A first in our experience!) to a fantastic guide for our small group, well considered accommodation and the ability to split off and do our own thing- everything was well planned and executed. We loved the fact that so much thought and preparation had been put into each element of the tour and that each and every detail had been checked and tested by the company via their guides.It gives us so much confidence that we could book again for another destination and be assured that we would have a great trip, a major consideration given the time invested and the cost of long haul travel.

We had a well organised holiday and although it was only a two of us, they organised for us everything without us needing to join any groups. We received plenty of support in advance of the trip and during. Our tour operator also helped us to book Kabuki tickets (theater) and book our tea house experience in advance, so we literally just had to turn up on the day. All our guides in Japan were outstanding with perfect English. The guidance booklets were so detailed that we find all our trains, internal flights and other transport easily. Overall we would recommend this operator to everyone, who would like to experience Japan but do not want to join a group of strangers.

We were well looked after. I can practically call every day before our trip with various questions (such as amount of spending money, customs, average prices and thing we wanted to do but did not see on the website). Our tour operator help us with everything and booked all tickets in advanced. After our conversations over the phone, he made little notes on pages in their guide, which he thought we might be interested in and were personalized for our interest, such as specialist stores (Manga) and restaurants (Maiden Coffee, Robot restaurant) or areas of Tokyo (gaming and manga). They were all spot on. I can recommend this operator for all, who would like to visit Japan but do not want to join a group of strangers.
