From my first exploratory conversation with Karen, I grew increasingly excited about a trip I wasn't even sure we would take. With every email and subsequent phone call this trip started to become a reality. InsideJapan shows an attention to detail and a genuine interest in creating the ultimate experience! If I wasn't impressed by our conversations prior to completing our vacation, the arrival of the information packet would have done it! Knowing which street to turn on, what escalator to use, the ease of luggage forwarding, the schedule for every train and when to book reserve seats was invaluable information that took all the anxiety out of traveling in a country where English is not widely spoken. The little tips, restaurant suggestions, pictures of the private guides; everything was well documented and immensely helpful! We have been on many trips where I've come away thinking "I could have researched and done this myself"; certainly not this time! The trip was so beautifully built around our interest, I honestly could not have planned it more perfectly myself! We are already thinking about returning to Japan and we will most definitely call upon the services of InsideJapan.

The services included in the small group tour were really useful in smaller cities, mainly where English was not a language frequently spoken. The guide was really helpful on these occasions (going to the pharmacy, ordering food at restaurants that had no English menu, etc), plus: he also filled us in with the history of the places we visited, some included on the package. Having some attractions already set by the tour organization helped to enjoy places where I had researched little about. On towns (namely Tokyo) where I had my own plans, I was free to do as I wished, and the guide helped with some tips, fine tunning my plans.

Inside Japan Tours was really helpful from the purchase procedure (my credit card did not help much, blocking the payment) to the preparation to the trip (a manual with a things checklist was sent 1 month prior to the flight). I did not know the company before and was very relieved to see all those dollars were well spent in the end! haha Thanks IJT!

We visited Tokyo, Kyoto and Nara in Japan. There were 3 of us, 2 adults and 1 teenage boy. We had a fabulous time. All accommodations were clean and well run. Transportation vouchers and cards were easy to use. Japan is so very different than our country, so experiencing it in person was truly wonderful. We saw many shrines, temples and museums. Tokyo is like no other place on earth.

Japan is such a beautiful country. I am glad I got to experience it and the wonderful people. Having the tour meant I got to know the culture more too.

Inside Japan and our tour leader Richard Pearce provided one of the best trips I have been on. Seeing the real rural Japan in so many ways - temples, amazing scenery, coastal walks and climbing "mountains", relaxation in onsens,cultural experiences with Samurai, Kendo and cooking experiences - all in all a full on and great experience.

Inside Japan were professional, efficient, friendly and responsiveness.

This was a semi organised holiday with accommodation booked and travel organised. There were also a few guided days. This is a brilliant way to do a trip. We particularly like the opportunity to do various craft workshops.

We went to Japan on the Golden Route tour with Inside Japan Tours and it was a brilliant holiday. There was a lot included but it still felt like we had time to do our own thing and explore at our own pace. The food was amazing and surprisingly reasonable in price. The hotels were all brilliant and very comfortable (which was good because we were worn out every night!)

Inside Japan Tours were absolutely fantastic. We had a huge amount of questions for our travel consultant and she answered them all with great patience! The trip was organised perfectly - the only logistical thing we had to do was decide what trains to book, which meant we could really just relax and enjoy ourselves.

Inside Japan Tours couldn't squeeze my travel slot into a scheduled tour. Instead, they put together a bespoke rail and accommodation package, based on the itinerary I requested. This covered Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Matsumoto, Takayama and Tokyo

We had an amazing time in Japan, and this was definitely thanks to having the 'InsideJapan factor'. Our personalised itinerary and destination guide booklets were extremely useful (we took the tip on luggage forwarding, it worked perfectly; descriptions of where hotels were located were much appreciated). Having pre-booked train and travel tickets (eg Shinkansen, Hakone Freepass) to hand when we arrived at our first hotel made travel throughout our trip go a lot smoother, and this was very helpful with an 8-year-old. The recommendation to have guiding for a couple of days in Kyoto was excellent as our guides were lovely and very efficient at helping us cover the sights we wanted to see; I don't think we could have managed to see as much without them.

InsideJapan did a fantastic job putting together a personalised itinerary that suited all of us: from shrines, temples and traditional Japan to Universal Studios in Osaka. They were extremely responsive, and worked closely with us to ensure our preferences in terms of travel times, Universal Studios express tickets, and special requests (eg restaurant reservation at a Buddhist temple) were met. Their enthusiasm and knowledge of Japan was impressive, and we would be happy to book with them again.

Our holiday to Japan was everything we wanted and more. We have come home feeling like we experienced absolutely everything we wanted to experience. The people, the culture, the nature, everything was incredible. In 2 weeks, we never stopped but we never felt overwhelmed as InsideJapan Tours gave us lots of recommendations and helped us prioritise what we wanted to see. We got to see the huge variety Japan has to offer and we loved everything we saw. I wish I could go back there for every holiday, it was exceptional.

InsideJapan Tours provided us with an itinerary which ticked absolutely all of the boxes. IJT are clearly experts and know their tours and the Japanese culture extremely well. Everything went perfectly smoothly from the first enquiry through to our time on the ground in Japan. Thanks to the detailed information they provided us with, every eventuality was covered and we never had any problems with transport, finding somewhere to eat, our accommodation or finding things to do. I would recommend that anyone use InsideJapan Tours for a trip to Japan as I wouldn't want to go through anyone else. They obviously care about the country they're providing tourism for and the people theyr'e planning trips for. It was the perfect trip.
