Exploring three Baltic countries by train (Riga, Tartu,Tallin & ST Petersburg) gave a great experience of the differing foods, countryside, cultures and city highlights....and also railway systems.

Ffestiniog Travel arranged all aspects of the tour with efficiency, accurate information and at good cost.

Albania is a beautiful country, which fulfilled all my expectations. The scenery is breathtaking, and the extent to which the people welcome visitors deserves comment. I would whole-hearted lay recommend this particular holiday if it is repeated.

Ffestiniog Travel seem to cover all eventualities. The tour leader who travelled with us was excellent, and the local guide was full of information. Mention must also be made of the catch driver, who coped with appalling road surfaces and suicidal other drivers. He drove carefully and safely throughout the holiday.

11 days in Uzbekistan; Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva.. Arrangements worked like clockwork and we were looked after from arrival at Heathrow to leaving it. Almost all meals included, at different restaurants, often with the locals, so a lot of traditional cooking, which was excellent. Uzbekistan guide was exceptional in his knowledge, organisation and friendliness, always responding to our requests. He made the holiday exceptional as well. We saw so many craftspeople at work as well - it was a wonderful experience,

Friendly, well-organised, gave us a lot of prior information and helped with the visa application. Couldn't fault them.

Travelled to Uzbekistan to experience "the Silk Road" and was not disappointed. Outstanding Uzbek guide gave excellent commentary about the history of the country and sites visited. Nothing was too much trouble for him. People were friendly and welcoming. One of the best holidays ever experienced.

Ffestiniog Travel is a small independent operator. They provided excellent and relevant information in advance and answered questions clearly and succinctly. Very good UK Tour Leader accompanied the tour and all arrangements went according to plan.

This was our first trip to Central Asia and the holiday met or exceeded our expectations in every way. The itinerary was great; the hotels were either comfortable or characterful or both; the sightseeing was terrific and the food was really good.

All aspects of the holiday were really excellent. The booking process was personal and straightforward, the pre-trip information provided just the right amount of information, the logistics worked extremely well throughout. In particular, the local guide we had in Uzbekistan was quite exceptional. This is the first time we had travelled with Ffestiniog Travel and we will definitely go with them again.

Brugge is the place to go if you want a compact city centre with everything in easy walking distance. It has canals, churches, art, music and, of course, chocolate.

We have had excellent service from Ffestiniog over the years, with trips to Amsterdam, Florence, Brugge and Switzerland. Always helpful, particularly re-routing us at short notice when there were rail strikes in France.

Rail trip to Essen, Germany with excursions to surrounding towns/cities using travel pass supplied by the hotel. The trip went exactly as planned.
