One person from start to finish and made to feel special

We travelled by Eurostar to Paris, the next day to Turin by train, then on to Verona, Milan and back to Paris via Switzerland. This 8 day trip gave us the time to see the highlights of the cities in Italy. The train journeys were great and, compared with flying, make it easier to visit multiple destinations and to see the scenery between them.

Efficient and friendly service, providing an itinerary that exactly met our requirements. Everything ran as expected making it a very enjoyable and stress free holiday.

Ffestiniog Travel organised an independent travel trip for us at short notice to Nimes and Narbonne by rail. And we had a wonderful times in these two interesting cities with a deep Roman past.

This is the second independent trip Ffestiniog has put together for us. The first one was by rail to Ravenna stopping at Lyons, Milan and Bologna. We were very happy with the arrangements so returned to them a second time. Rail is their speciality.

Great flexibility and a great tour leader

A very good holiday I have suggested a few things that could have made it even better.

I have travelled around the world with Ffestiniog and have always been impressed with their expertise and protectionism.

It was a train trip involving many trains around the East of Canada. Planes, trains and Automobiles. The schedule was punishing and it was hard to find time for rest, exploration and finding nutritious food. There were many highlights, but I wouldn’t recommend this particular itinerary.

They are a small company organising a very unique experience in travel

Better if more time in cities as the climate did not deliver the expected fall scenery in afforested areas and northern destinations did not justify the time spent.

This was the first run of this tour and needs some re-balancing

This was a specialist holiday to the railways of Mallorca.

First class service. The final arrangements arrived well in advance of departure. Everything was thoroughly explained and everything worked according to the schedule.

Ffestiniog Travel have been arranging these sort of tours for a long time. I have been on several trips before and the organisation is always excellent. They use good hotels and have a experienced tour leader on hand to lead the tour.
