A great trip well organised with plenty of flexibility

Used Ffestiniog twice now - very impressed with friendly staff, flexibility to make changes, and Roger as tour leader

Train to Paris, hotel, Train to Zermatt, hotel, Train to St. Moritz, train to Zurich, flight home

We were well informed before the trip with information that proved to be accurate during the tour. They were very helpful in sorting out a problem with one of our fellow travellers.

Purpose of the holiday was to travel on several of Switzerland’s panoramic rail lines (Glacier Express, Golden Pass line, Voralpen line,etc), and to visit Lucerne for 2 days. Also to go up Mount Rigi and get there via boat and train.

Ffestiniog Travel have organised several holidays for us. We tell them where, when and how we want to go and they’ve organised everything for us. All arrangements have worked well and my sister and I have enjoyed each trip.

Arwel at Ffestiniog Travel went out of her way to research different solutions for us to choose from for our holiday which needed to be on specific dates to meet up with a relative flying in from Australia and we wanted to include at least some train travel. Once we had selected our itinerary, we paid a deposit and before the holiday she sent us an excellent booklet and information about every stage of our journeys and accommodation.

Smooth experience from initial enquiry to arriving back home. Always answered questions promply. Tour operator guide was fantastic - he was always there when you needed him, but left you to your own devices when necessary. He made sure that we were all happy at all times, and was able to help and assist in any way we required

Escorted tour to the German Christmas Market in Nurnberg along with associated railway travel and trips to various museums with plenty of free time for visiting historical sites within the area

First class tour operator with highly efficient planned itinerary and extremely knowledgeable tour guide

Visiting Bergen, Flåm and Oslo, with a couple of short cruises in the fjords thrown in. The Flåm railway and the journey from Bergen to Oslo by train has wonderful scenery to enjoy.

Just the right balance between railways and general tourism, with free days thrown in to do ones own thing.
