Nine very full days covering nearly all the main sites in Jordan, discovering a fascinating and varied history from ancient and biblical times to the present. Friendly and welcoming people, and an excellent and knowledgeable guide. Highlights were Petra (of course!) despite the crowds, and two unforgettable steam train rides.

We have always found Ffestiniog helpful and efficient, which is one reason why we chose them for this tour. Some last minute hotel availability problems, outside their control, were managed efficiently.

Trip to Romania to see a country still in some sort of time warp. Fabulous landscapes and the most hospitable people ever. History, geography, culture, tradition, architecture and a way of life fast disappearing from a modern world all rolled into one. Ancient churches, monasteries, citadels, fabulous farming land - what a place!

Ffestiniog travel. Inaugurated in 1974, they celebrate 30 years next year. The programmes they put together suit me down to the ground as they appeal both to the rail enthusiast and the culture vultures alike. Just so happens I am both.

A 16 day rail tour from London featuring stops at various live steam railways around Germany as well as the German National Railway Museum. Tour arrangements worked well with lots of time at various steam railways about Germany. For a non-German speaking steam railway enthusiast this was the only way to undertake such a trip to so many diverse destination from southern Germany to the North Sea. A brilliant package.

Return journey by Eurostar & DB iCE trains to Bavaria, overnighting in Cologne, then three nights in Nuremberg and three in Munich with another overnight stop in Cologne. Various 1930s/WW2 sites visited including War Crime Trials courtroom & Dachau. Two concerts in Cologne and organ recital in Nuremberg. Lots of tram, U-bahn & S-bahn rides and visit to DB Museum and gingerbread shop.

Ffestiniog Travel who were very efficient, helpful & friendly. All arrangements they made with trains and hotels ran smoothly. Very well done to them.

2 weeks of Swiss Rail Travel, with lots of golden moments - Bernina Express; Glacier Express; the Furka Bergstrecke Steam Railway., Realp. Steam train around Berne; Paddle steamer on Lake Geneva; Zermatt & the Gornegrat Railway to view the Matterhorn, so many great trips.

FFestiniog had all of the details organised, all travel arrangements were excellent & timely. The tour guide was absolutely terrific & along with the people made the tour so successful.
