This was our third trip to Sri Lanka. We love the variety of scenery, the people and the food. As we have seen the main sights previously , this time was all about relaxing, which we did in the excellent small boutique hotels we stayed in. Hopefully tourism will continue to recover, reflecting all the many reasons to choose the country.

Experience Travel started in Sri Lanka and their knowledge of and empathy with the country really shows. Well put together , tailor made tour which reflected well our aims for the holiday and delivered very efficiently on the ground. Good range of further experiences on offer. We liked the company's approach to more sustainable tourism with the filtered water bottle and were struck by the relationship and loyalty they had developed with and from the chauffeur drivers.

The itinerary was excellent, the guides were professional and knowledgeable, the properties were fantastic, and all arrangements went smoothly.

Experience Travel is an excellent company. They planned a wonderful custom itinerary, were responsive to the needs of the family, were quick to respond to correspondences, and professional in all regards. I felt very safe traveling and well taken care of.

We travelled to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia in January 2020. We visited a number of places in each country and had a marvellous bespoke holiday experience. The travel programme included visiting a local organic rice farm in Luang prabang in Laos which was one of my favourite trips. Luang prabang is a must see for the scenery, gentleness of the people and heritage. We had a fabulous time glamping on the River Kwai in Thailand and saw the breathtaking sites at Ankor Wat in Cambodia and well as the sobering Killing Fields in Phnom Penh. We ate lunches in local restaurants run by ex street children in Laos and Cambodia - food was fabulous. All in all a brilliant way to start the New Year.

This was the second time we have used Experience Travel Group to travel to SE Asia following a recommendation from a relative. They are experts in their field and built in incredible memorable experiences as part of our travel progamme. I would highly recommend using ETG - David Gookey is our travel consultant and he is excellent. The company is conscious of the environment and cultures in the countries we visited. They use local guides and drivers who are very knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble.

A bespoke tour of Sri Lanka

Experience Travel arranged a tour that went seamlessly and exceeded expectations.

An attempt to see and experience as wide a view of Sri Lanka as we could. A range of accommodation ranging from Mud House to 5 Star. Taking in some of the most important Religeous and Historical sites in the process.

Professional from the outset, supported by a locally based contact who proved invaluable.

Spent a few days in Northern Thailand and then travelled into Laos via the Mekong River with 3 days of river cruises. Spent memorable times in Luang Prabang, Plain of Jars, Vientiane ,4.000 islands and Champasak. Learnt so much about the history of Laos and local customs. A truly awesome holiday in a country which is not fully on the tourist trail.

Large family of 18 for an Xmas / NY holiday in Sri Lanka. We decided to use an agency given the complexity with family coming at different times from all over the world. We had time in the cultural area, at the beach and in the plantations. All organized to perfection.

Used Experience given their reputation as Sri Lankan experts. They didn't disappoint and in nearly 3 weeks, many transfers etc, all was handled professionally and all their recommendations were spot on.
