Absolute escapes made our holiday worry free & fabulous!!!

Our weather was not the best along our 8 day walk. It was very rainy (heavy rain) and pretty chilly, but we rarely noticed because everything else - lodging, fellow walkers, amazing scenery, and professionalism of Absolute Escapes made the journey so pleasurable. Rating for tour operator:

Worry free, professional, and great to work with. I was overwhelmed by all the different operators and SO happy with my choice. I never had to wait on my luggage or stay in a mediocre place. I was so pleased the entire Way!

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed your walk along the West Highland Way so much, and that the temperamental weather this summer did not detract from beautiful scenery. We sincerely appreciate your kind words about our company, and please do let us know if we can ever tempt you back over from North Carolina to the UK for another walking adventure! Best wishes, Scott Smyth

Splendid walk on St. Cuthbert's Way

We had a fabulous time on our walk. The baggage transfer worked well and the B&Bs were excellent.

it was so wonderful - walking for such a long distance in such a beautiful nature became a very expletive experience. although I walked for my own - I never felt lonely. I met so many wonderful people all along the way - it was so heartily and funny.

We started the cleveland way last year - helmsley to Salburn and finished it this year Saltburn to Filey. Lovely walk both parts very different and a complete contrast.

No problems. Only one thing: felt that on two occaisions the company booked the cheapest rooms avaiable in the B&B (especially in Whitby where we were in the attic). Had we been asked we would have gladly paid the extra for a better room. That was the only downside.

Absolute Escapes responded to this review on 12 Aug 2015:

Thank you for your feedback about your walk, although I was disappointed to hear that you found the rooms unsatisfactory for 2 nights. We certainly don't book the cheapest rooms available for our clients, although it is possible that these were the only rooms left at the time of your booking. I will be contacting you separately to find out which ones these were. I have checked the bookings that were made for you, and we have used all of the Guest Houses in the past for our clients, so if there is an issue with these particular accommodations we will certainly re-consider using them again in the future. I'll be in touch with you directly to find out some more information. Kind regards, Andy Gabe

Amazing Recommended Activities, and truly beautiful accomodations

Our Honeymoon through the Scottish Highlands and Western Isles was truly spectacular, exhausting, but amazing. We stayed in beautiful bed and breakfasts, and were able to see amazing parts of Scotland that felt personal and authentic. It far exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful scenary and wonderful people

The itinerary you planned was excellent. Each location was unique and gave us a different perspective on Scotland. The Isle of Skye was no doubt the highlight.

The holiday was fanstatic and it and was up to all expectations

Varied hiking in beautiful nature. Met many other nice hikers during the trek and we was well received at the pre-booked lodging. The baggage was always there when you arrived. We don't have any claims at all. We would strongly recommend this travel.

Great information sent before the trip , both book and map was very useful. No problem with getting answers to questions before the trip. Good information even about accommodation and tips regarding food and attractions.
