NC500 Scotland
We have had one of the best driving holidays in Scotland. The whole itinerary was well presented and easy to follow. Apart from one B&B, which I am sure you guys are aware of, the rest of the stay in each place was excellent. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Our best stay was at Ullapool where the whole experience was wonderful. We all wished we had stayed there slightly longer. If I had to change the itinerary, it would have been ...

Apart from one B&B, which I am sure you guys are aware of, the rest of the stay in each place was excellent. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Our best stay was at Ullapool where the whole experience was wonderful. We all wished we had stayed there slightly longer. If I had to change the itinerary, it would have been couple of extra days in the Cairngorms. Our stay in Ballater was very memorable. All in all a wonderful Scottish experience made extra special due to the itinerary prepared by Absolute Escapes. We will definitely come back to Absolute Escapes for future driving holidays. From the four of us a very heartiest thank you.

Thank you very much for your lovely review, Hasmukh. It was a pleasure to assist with the arrangements for your North Coast 500 holiday and it's great to hear that you had a fantastic time. We hope that you get a chance to return to Ullapool and the Cairngorms soon. Please do get back in touch if we can be of assistance with any future travel plans! Best wishes, Caitlin Rush

Wonderful West Highland Way
A wonderful West Highland Way walking holiday on my own. I took 9 days to walk through stunning scenery, stay in lovely B&B's and meet other fellow walkers(and cyclists) clocking up the miles! Grateful for baggage transfer, a big thank you to AMS! I have blistered feet, aching legs and sunburn 😱... Oh and a million bites from the dreaded midge(the apex predator in Scotland) but hey ho, I did this trip in June. Loved every minute of it and didn't ...

Excellent company! Friendly and approachable. They have gone above and beyond to arrange my walking holiday, especially through the current covid issues. Kept me updated, excellent information pack, excellent accommodation, excellent baggage transfer. Kept me updated through my walk of any issues that arose. Thank you!
Thank you for your feedback Elizabeth, we're delighted to hear that even through the blistered feet, aching legs, sunburn, and midges you still had an excellent time! We're glad we could help in making your walk memorable, if you ever want to take to the trails again just let us know. Best regards, Jason Martin

A great ‘Highland Honeymoon’ road trip around Scotland!

Also the professionalism of the interactions we had with the booking staff was great as well as feeling like there was a personal touch. All the accommodation arranged and booked for us was lovely but we were particularly taken with the Avalon Guest House in Inverness which was particularly plush and much more than we expected for a guest house. We also had a lovely day at Dunrobin Castle near Inverness which was recommended. Skye was very beautiful but this was on the back of travelling through some of the most dramatic scenery we had ever seen in the Cairngorms and Trossachs so we were very spoilt!

We would certainly recommend Absolute Escapes and will be thinking about a return to Scotland again when we can!

Dales Way holiday provided by Absolute Escapes
As keen walkers and cyclists, we booked The Dales Way holiday to be completed in 6 days with our friends, and were not disappointed. It was best walking holiday we have done in the UK. The walking was relatively easy, being mostly by rivers and becks, with an ever changing landscape going through small hamlets and villages. The accommodation was excellent, with a variety of mostly quality country inns and a couple of B & B’s. We hardly saw any people or cars - in fact on the short sections of road you could walk in the middle most of the time. We saw a wide variety of wildlife including several red squirrels up close, herons, birds of prey, dippers and others too numerous to mention. As we left Yorkshire and crossed the M6, the gentle pastoral landscape gave way to views of The Lake District giving a sense of achievement as we progressed to the finish. We would definitely recommend this walk to others who value great changing scenery and getting away from civilisation. This walk is achievable in 6 days by any average walker, with the majority of the route being either flat of gentle gradients.

From the first enquiry, Absolute Escapes proved to be quick with their response to any questions and made booking easy. When we asked about small changes, these were quickly accommodated. We have no complaints.

WALKING THE ISLE OF WIGHT COASTAL PATH
We walked the Coastal Path of the Isle of Wight and enjoyed the varied scenery and were surprised by how quickly it changed, one minute walking in wood land and the next finding yourself on the beach. June was a great time of year to do it as the wild flowers were wonderful.

We booked a package with Absolute Escapes for our walk along The West Highland Way 14-20 May 2021. The package included all Baggage Transfers and Accommodation. Our initial enquiry in November 2020 was promptly dealt with and a detailed booking package followed which covered all details. After booking we were kept updated with any potential changes as a result of Government Regs to comply with the Covid Pandemic. Fortunately we were able to get full use of the package in May 2021 although Absolute did offer us the option to amend the dates of booking or a full refund if the Pandemic Regs changed at short notice prior to our departure date. The Welcome Pack and Holiday Package instructions were very detailed and clear. There were no issues with the Baggage Transfer service and the instructions were simple and effective. The accommodation was a mix of what could be classed as standard B&Bs and some really top end B&Bs together with a top class stay at The Kinghouse Hotel. Even the standard B&Bs were above the quality that I have come across in my travels throughout Scotland and I would have no hesitation staying in these again.
Thank you very much for your kind words, Stephen. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your holiday on the West Highland Way and were pleased with all of the arrangements we made. If we can ever be of assistance in planning future adventures, we'd love to hear from you again! Best wishes, Charlotte Wood

Venture to the edge of Europe
A tour over 8 days from Barra to Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, stopping at 4 different places on the way. We went in May, which was good because it was not busy and there were no midges (although the gales helped with that aspect!), but so early in their season, plus the effects of the past year’s lockdowns, meant there was very few places of interest open, and cafes and restaurants were very few and far between. The landscape was still in its winter colours, so detracted from its summer beauty. Beaches were stunning, though, in any light. However, it was very interesting and made us think about life on the edge and what it might be like to live there.

Absolute Escapes organised a bespoke holiday tour for us with no fuss and maximum efficiency. They gave us what we asked for.
Many thanks for your wonderful review, Sandra. We are so pleased to hear that you had a great time on your trip and managed to avoid the midges! If we can be of assistance in the future please don't hesitate to get in touch. Best wishes, Fern Urquhart

Rob Roy Way
It was organised by Absalute Escapes, in that they booked the B&B we stayed in and had our luggage taken to the next B&B. All the B&B hosts were very welcoming; in that they were helpful in giving us details of places to visit nearby; suggesting alternative places for us to have our evening meal and the last hosts offered to take us to the station so that we would not have to carry our case. Absalute Escapes gave us very good information and advised us to book our evening meals before we started our trip. One B&B in Strathyre, provided a 3 course evening meal which was delicious. The house had a beautiful garden where birds were encouraged. For us, our holiday was special, not only was the Scottish weather perfect for walking but the views were lovely and the gorge at Aberfeldy, spectacular. The fauna and flora great; we saw, red squirrels, goats and evidence of beavers. The bluebells were just coming out as were other wild flowers. This holiday will, I'm sure live long in our memories, despite there still being some restrictions due to Covid 19.

Absalute Escapes had to change one of the B&B's due to it not being open. We were given plenty of notice and the place we stayed for 2 nights was lovely.
Thank you for your review Gill, it sounds like you had an excellent time on the Rob Roy Way and the combination of wildlife and scenery was perfect. If we can be of assistance in the future please don't hesitate to get in touch. Best wishes, Jason Martin

A relaxed adventure with all the planning done for us.
A driving trip on the Scottish North Coast 500 for nine nights All the B&B accommodation booked in advance by Absolute Escapes and all the relevant information sent to us in very good time. Plenty of flexibility during the day to 'do our own thing' but with suggestions to guide us. Good to know there was someone to contact if needed.

They gave us all the relevant information in very good time and checked up on us as soon as the holiday was completed. We have already recommended them to friends and would use them again.
Thank you for your review Maggie and great to hear you enjoyed your time on the NC500. Thank you also for recommending us to your friends, that's the highest recommendation we can hope for. If we can be of assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us. Best regards, Jason Martin
