MTB - The Hebridean Trail by Todd, 4 Jul 2019

Outer Hebrides with Wilderness Scotland.

This mountain biking trip up the Outer Hebrides was at the top of my list, and it did not disappoint. Wilderness Scotland provided amazing guides. My wife injured her knee prior to the trip and came along anyway, but could not ride. Together with our guides we worked it out so that she had a great time; I had a great time; and there was no adverse impact to the rest of the group. Together with our guides we worked it out so that she had a great time; I had a great time; and there was no adverse impact to the rest of the group. Both guides are great riders and logisticians, fun people to hang with, and very knowledgeable about biking AND all the stunning scenery / history / way of life that I had a thousand questions about. Lodging and restaurants were great choices and the provided mid-trail lunches were really good too. We couldn't have had a better experience.

Wilderness Scotland got every detail right, made it just enough of a challenge, and also made sure it was just plain fun. Perfect trip at a very fair price!

Wilderness Scotland, West Highland way

I did the trip with three girl friends. Whilst the walk was challenging, it was a great experience and the guides were fantastic, encouraging and supporting. Some of the accommodation was not of great quality, but we are sure was the best available and was in the right locations

Road Cycling - The 5 Countries by Amy, 3 Jul 2019

Who knew the British Isles could be so beautiful on two wheels?

Cycling through the five countries of the British Isles had been an experience. Like many others, I had the typical opinion that there is nothing exotic around Britain and Ireland but this trip gave me the chance to see the different cultures and traditions that does exist in such a small part of the world (and underrated too sometimes) - not to mention the beautiful landscape along the way. Cycling is such a great way to travel and I loved every single spin I took, even when my legs gave up half way up a climb!

Rating for tour operator:

This was going to be my personal cycling challenge of the year, but I didn't expect to come home so refreshed (despite tired legs) because the Wilderness team made the holiday so easy. The crew are so passionate about their jobs that made me feel like I am touring with the right people, and the selection of accommodation, the cycling routes and the food along the way have all been amazing.

Walking on Shetland

Guided holiday in Shetland with walking every day, returning to an hotel where we stayed for the whole trip. The guide knew his stuff and answered all our questions about wildlife, history, archaeology etc. He tailored the walks to suit the abilities of the group members. The accommodation was a very old hotel providing first class rooms and the all important meals.
