A week of walking and wildlife viewing in beautiful Shetland. Based out of Busta House, each day was a great mix of eye-popping land- and seascapes, fascinating history, puffins and gannets and guillemots and seals and porpoises, and always a delicious dinner and warming drinks and sometimes live music to top it all off.

Wilderness Scotland trips are excellent value. Local company, expert guides, range of trip types to suit interest and fitness level, committed to "leave no trace."

We spent six days with a small group and a guide hiking in a variety of terrains, including conquering a Munro, walking along beaches and across moors. We stayed in a lovely lodge with excellent food and had an outstanding guide who paid close attention to detail to ensure everyone had a very positive experience. The scenery was gorgeous and all aspects lived up to the "luxury" descriptor.

Wilderness Scotland was an excellent tour operator. All queries to the office were answered promptly and once on the trip, everyone involved with the company was friendly, helpful and very professional.

My husband and I embarked on this 10-day hiking trip in Northern England and Scotland with Wilderness Scotland. It was a very well structured itinerary for those not familiar with the beautiful landscapes of the U.K. Our guide was top-notch in terms of knowledge and experience and tailored the holiday to our interests. The lodging and food were very good, in some cases, exceptional. This trip was a very good value.

Wilderness Scotland was very responsive to our questions, provided travel advice, and an exceptional guide. The itinerary was well conceived and the small group size ideal. Every day was a unique look at a landscape as well as its flora and fauna.

The holiday was an enjoyable weeks walking holiday based in two locations in east and west Scotland with guided hill and cliff walks and sea trip to watch dolphins and cliff nesting sea birds.
