Our Autumn in the Highlands trip was perfection. Everything from start to finish was fantastic - the walks, the guide, the accommodations, the food - not a single complaint!

Our guide was the best! He shared so much information about the Highlands. We learned so much of the history and about the local flora and fauna. It really made it extra special.

We took a “self-guided” cycling tour through the Inner Hebrides. Finlay Sutherland, our bike hire and route guide ensured we were all well equipped and experienced the landscape to the fullest!

Wilderness Scotland responded to any questions we had very promptly and ensured we were well equipped for our upcoming trip.

Our group of friends engaged Wilderness Scotland to embark on a five day hiking expedition through the Highlands. It was a wonderful experience to walk through various areas around Fort Augustus and see the wilderness up close and personal. The general itinerary was provided in advance, so we knew approximately how many miles and hours we would be hiking each day. We were able to prepare for this and we truly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended.

Wilderness Scotland and our guide Scott McCabe were excellent throughout the whole process. Wilderness Scotland kept good contact with us prior to the trip, and Scott was exceptional in his ability to guide us through the Highlands and teach us something new every day.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a more incredible hike and experience Scotland the way we did on our 8 day hike. It was the perfect blend of beautiful views, lovely people, amazing accommodations and food and a proper challenge to complete. Will recommend it to everyone we know who enjoys hiking.

We completed the West Highland Way recently, having booked the entire experience through Wilderness Scotland, including accommodation and bag transfers along the way. It was well organised with excellent communication, advice and follow up throughout. The walk itself is amazing and quite achievable for anyone with a relatively good level of fitness. Our accommodation was generally of a very high standard, with only one exception and that was purely a case of there being no other options available to suit our schedule. All in all I would highly recommend both Wilderness Scotland and the West Highland Way itself.

I've just returned from my 2nd trip with Wilderness Scotland, The Orkney Islands. It was a fabulous trip with a perfect mix of walking, history and archeology. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge, and our accommodations and food in Orkney were wonderful. The trip was well organized, and our guide and the company went above and beyond when there was a problem with the ferry back to theScottish mainland. We were all impressed. Group sizes are capped at 8 participants, and that's a perfect group size for walking. Wilderness Scotland is SO easy to work with, a good value and offers many wonderful itineraries.

We travelled in a circle around Scotland from urban Edinburgh to wild Glencoe to beautiful Skye to the Cairngorms. It was amazingly lovely, great hotels and a great guide that took us on hiking trails that were just right challenge for us.

Our guide was amazing and organized. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable and truly wanted us to have our best vacation. The venues were varied and well thought out. We hiked, kayaked, ferried, and cruised. We had modern, fancy and remote hotels. Everything went very smoothly. Our reservations were made and confirmed for the hotels and restaurants. It was great.
