Walking - Argyll & the Isles by Peggy, 30 Sep 2015
Holiday Rating:

Wilderness Scotland tour of the Inner Hebrides and Argyll

Four islands plus one day on mainland Argyll. Excellent guide, lovely group of people, comfortable hotels, easy but good walks every day plus visits to historic sites and attempts to view beavers, eagles, porpoises and whales (who unfortunately declined to turn up). We did see seabirds and seals, though, and had an exciting boat trip to Jura via Corrievreckan whirlpool. Despite mixed weather, it was thoroughly enjoyable

A well planned and executed holiday package.

This was a canoe trip down the Spey River from Loch Inch to Spey Bay. We had B&B accommodation at the end of each day. All places were good quality and a warm welcome extended. The canoeing was managed by a very competent and entertaining river guide who was very instructive and encouraging, always finding something to commend us on no matter what scrapes we got ourselves into. We learnt a lot about open canoeing whilst having fun. I certainly ...
