Great service, stunning location.

We were impressed by all the attention to detail. Every aspect was well thought out and each of our walks were breathtaking.

Wilderness Scotland has really done a wonderful job of ensuring their clients have the best possible holiday. There was not once that I thought “they could have done better”. Our guide, accommodation, and food were all top notch.

A life-changing journey

The trip involved exploring the Isles of Orkney from a single base in Kirkwall. Cory, our guide, was superb, and took us on walks and to archaeological sites on a number of the islands. Every logistical consideration was taken care of, from booking ferries to retrieving a guest's jacket left behind in a restaurant, to collecting another guest's suitcase at Kirkwall Airport after it had been lost at Heathrow. Wilderness Scotland: Orkney Islands 8 day walking tour

A fantastic week. This small group tour worked well for us. The professionalism & enjoyment shown by our guide ensured a truly wonderful & educational experience. I have learnt so much about the bird life, ancient history, geography plus other cultural aspects of the Orkneys. A truly amazing experience & would actually like to return to the Orkneys for a longer look one day

Everything about Wilderness Scotland was perfect. The pre-trip info, & the actual experience. The small group size meant the group quickly became close and remained that way. Our guide was fantastic & we learnt so much from him about so many aspects of Scottish culture, geography, history & ancient history. We felt very well looked after

Wilderness hiking in the Orkneys

Wilderness Scotland organized a hiking tour and it was fantastic. From my very first inquiry to the trip itself, everyone was helpful and friendly. The guide, Tim, was wonderful. He found out what we were all interested in and tried to tailor the trip to our preferences. He was so knowledgeable on Scottish history, archaeology and wildlife and native plant life. The hotel in Kirkwall was gorgeous and this was an amazing trip. I would recommend ...

The Orkneys are not for the birds! They are for anyone wishing to experience the outdoors.

This holiday was more than anyone could want. Walking along sea cliffs and fields was an experience in fully embracing the outdoors. Add to that great food and fascinating historical sites made this the complete package.

Wilderness Scotland is excellent. All the details of travel and special requests were handled with efficiency. In addition we were treated to local information and experiences that only they could provide...Dinner at a restaurant with 5 tables requiring advanced reservations, live music at a local cafe...The knowledge of the guide was amazing.
