Wilderness Scotland guide Laurence Archer led a group of 8 around the Orkney Islands. We met in Inverness and we wandered around the Orkney Islands from van and ferry. The walks along the sites, historic neolithic sites, and museums in the areas were fabulous. interactions amongst the guide and the group members were much fun

Susie was organized and liked to keep to the schedule but could be flexible as needed. Guiding is a tough job as there are many personalities and breaking the ice and making small talk with multiple can be hard.

I enjoyed every moment of this trip. Wilderness Scotland did an exceptional job. Accommodation, food, side trips, hiking, everything was exceptional. Although they didn't have control over the weather it was perfect. I learned so much about the Neolithic and Viking period and had a variety of hiking experiences. I'm already planning my next trip with them or their sister organizations Wilderness England or Wilderness Ireland.

It was a 6-day small group (6 people) tour of the Orkney islands wish guided visits to historical sites and hours of scenic hiking daily, which was just what I wanted. Our guide was excellent!. If you want an ACTIVE holiday and not just be stuck in a bus or van with a big group, Wilderness Scotland is the way to go.

Very responsive by email and our guide was excellent. I would rate the tour a 10/10 but the accommodations were too luxurious for my taste and budget. Otherwise perfect.

I took part in a week long guided walking holiday in the Orkney Islands. The programme included daily hikes as well as visits to archeological and historical sites. It was a wonderful experience thanks to our guide, the small group of travel companions, our hosts, and the overall well organized trip.

Wilderness Scotland was very efficient, from the first contact with the team before booking the trip to the follow up after the trip. I also thought that the holiday itself was very well organized and thoughtfully put together, from accomodation to food to excursions. I would definitely recommend.
