Six day walking holiday based in Chora on Andros, a two hour ferry ride from Athens. Spectacular scenery, very well marked and maintained walking trails, peace and quiet, delicious fresh food and friendly people. Lovely hotel accomodation on a traditional and unspoiled Greek island.

Everything from initial contact to final documentation is efficient, precise and helpful. The walking notes are extremely clear and useful background information is also provided. On Foot really know their walking destinations so I am happy to be totally guided by their experience and recommendations.

We have booked a number of holidays in the past with On Foot and have never been disappointed.. The routes chosen and the places to stay are always been interesting and delightful. The maps and preparatory material provided are an added bonus .And we particularly appreciate the level of care and personal attention we receive from the staff.

Stunning views, superb food, and beautiful walks. We began in Amalfi and added extra rest days in Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento, as well as an add on of two nights in Capri. The walking routes were challenging, but very well detailed and a variety of route options provided to ease or shorten each day's itinerary. On Foot also added a variety of itineraries for use in Capri. The holiday went off without a hitch--all hotels either very good or excellent; all transfers executed in a timely fashion; activity and restaurant recommendations invariably quite good, and best of all--the weather cooperated as we had superb weather every day.

We've used other firms, UK and US, for "inn-to-inn" self-guided walking vacations in Spain, France, UK, and Italy. On Foot was the best of them all. Planning questions were answered quickly by a very responsive staff; the route notes, maps, transportation schedules, and other information provided were very comprehensive and the best we've encountered by far. We particularly liked the range of options offered, both in the grade of lodging we could select, en route extensions (rest days), and day-to-day variations in the walking route that allowed us to tailor each day's itinerary to our group's (4 people) needs and desires that particular day. We will use On Foot for our next walking vacation.

This was already our sixth walking holiday with On Foot Holidays. Just as with the others, this walk down central Italy had it all: great views and pretty villages, excellent accommodation with friendly hosts and wonderful food. As ever, the On Foot staff were helpful, very professional and always quick to respond to queries.

Our holiday was perfect from start to finish. We rambled down country lanes, through orchards and vineyards, along grassy farm tracks and uphill through forested trails. We certainly stepped back in time, discovering medieval villages and coming across castles, some in ruins and others completely intact and pristine. We spent our nights in lovely country inns where we were warmly welcomed and able to rest and unwind before setting out the following day. The holiday certainly provided us with the opportunity to explore a part of France that not many Canadian visitors get to see.

On Foot Holidays really contributed to a fabulous holiday experience. They attended meticulously to every detail of the trip, responded promptly to all of our queries, and made us feel at ease travelling in a foreign country. They took care of all hotel reservations, the transfer of luggage between villages, and many of the meals. They provided us with a comprehensive "Walkers' Kit," which included precise directions, regional maps, local information and contact numbers. We would definitely travel with them again, and, in fact, have already visited their website since returning home to see what other walking holidays they have on offer.

My husband and I spend a week hiking on the Greek islands of Naxos and Amorgos. We enjoyed the different experiences of each place. We went on spectacular hikes, met friendly people, ate delicious food, marveled at Naxian marble and swam in the Aegean Sea. We were both challenged and relaxed: the perfect combination for us!

This was our second booking with OnFoot and we have been very pleased with their service. Communication is EXCELLENT: all questions readily answered and plenty of interesting details presented in advance. It was a pleasure getting to know the informed, friendly and helpful staff during our email exchanges. There was attention to detail: at one point they suggested an alternative transportation plan when what I had arranged didn't look like the best option. And through it all, helpful and friendly. And loved having a really good local contact to help with details: it really made the trip even better!

Camino dos Faros, 7 day walk

OnFoot handled everything beautifully, in these challenging times

80 miles walking in 6 days in the Dorset country side, finishing on the Jurassic Coast. Comfortable accommodation with good, sometimes excellent evening meals.

Efficient and personable, a good combination. Willing to help and advise when required, but levae you to get on with it if you knwo what you are doing.

We walked for 5 days around a preset route starting and finishing in St Ives, with beautiful coastal scenery and interesting inland sections
