Superb seven days hiking in the Dordogne
We started in Beaulieu sur Dordogne and hiked through, Port de Gagnac, Loubressac, Carennac, Meyronne and Rocamadour. It was very varied, well planned, with many interesting and different things to see each day. The kilometres to hike varied each day and all were great walking.

On Foot Holidays. It was exceptionally well orrganised from being met by taxi at the starting railway station to the taxi taking us to the ending railway station. The hotels were very good, Auberge, Logis and Hotels, with different and very good food at everyone. We were always expected at the overnight stop and welcomed by the hotel staff. Everything worked as plannned. Superb.

Slovenia - The Karst
Loved walking the Karst in Slovenia. Everyone in every place was so friendly. Luggage transfer happened magically without a hitch. The walking was beautiful and easy. Touring Predjama Castle and Skocjan Caves added special interest to the walk although there were other interesting sites along the way too.

Offered a local English speaking contact who took us to the start point telling us interesting history on the way there. The luggage was transferred easily and accurately. Information sent ahead of time was very detailed with many maps of the walking route, notes for the routes and information about sites seen along the way. Recommended restaurants were sent. Conversation starters were also sent such as the accordion maker and player at one accommodation. The GPS information was invaluable for us and always let us know if we were going correctly. Accommodations were all unique and well-located. All were very nice and the staff at each place was very friendly.

Getting to know the little-known.
Wonderful walking in a revelatory landscape - northern Portugal, largely in its national park. The walking routes were satisfyingly challenging, the sights and sounds and smells a joy for the senses, the people we met hospitable and kind, the places we stayed characterful and excellent. Oh, and the food and wine were great too!

This was our third trip with On Foot, and we cannot stop singing their praises. Utterly professional but also friendly and supremely helpful. Their love of sharing their joy of walking shines through, and the package they provide (walk routes and maps, accommodation, background information and support throughout the holiday) is absolutely brilliant. We feel in the safest of hands with On Foot.

The most memorable part of our trip
We used On Foot Holidays to book a trip to Devon, England. We use them for solo hikes and the instructions for the walks are very well organized and they include a detailed booklet that explains local history and calls out notable points. We walked through beautiful countryside and even got to visit Agatha Christie's house!

They make sure everything is so well organzied and you feel taken care of throughout the experience, despite completing the trip as a solo adventure. The walks are always so enjoyable and the accommodates are very comfortable. This is the 3rd time we've walked with them and we just booked a 4th trip!

On Foot travel is supremely well organised, personable and did such a great job managing the pandemic

Wonderful trip organised by On Foot Holidays
We walked across Yorkshire, on a very varied route, from Ripon to Austwick, with a magnificent final day climbing Ingleborough. The route was varied and the arrangements made by On Foot made everything very relaxing for us.

On Foot are friendly and responsive, and the three holidays we have had with them have been some of the best we have ever had. We will definitely travel with them again.

Cornwall Lands End: An active vacation exploring nature, history and family

We literally walked through centuries of history and the time gave us an opportunity to truly be together. Everything was prearranged for us: after a delicious and filling breakfast we packed light backpacks and pulled out our maps and began walking to our next destination, discovering new sites and enjoying the time. When we arrived at next spot our luggage was waiting for us and it was time for a beer or glass of wine and more reflection. We can't wait for our next walking trip.

The entire team at On Foot Holidays was wonderful to work with in planning our vacation. They communicated well, took the time to listen to our needs and interests, always responded in a timely manner and were professional. We plan to book another walking adventure and it will be with On Foot Hollidays.

Peaceful and beautiful
It was a beautiful walk--being out in the country with the animals and crops, walking through green fields and hopping (not really hopping . . .) over styles. The accommodations were delightful, and the food along the way was delicious. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

The On Foot folks were extremely prompt in replying to our emails--answering questions as well as anticipating some (ie Covid testing in the UK). We stopped by their office in Salisbury and had a very nice chat and a cup of tea with Mary. It was fun talking to her and seeing their headquarters. They were all very helpful and gracious.

Welsh Borders, in the footsteps of Offa
Walking from BishopsCastle to Haye, mostly along Offa's Dyke Path, with maps and detailed directions provided, bags taken by taxis, accommodation and dinner booked each night and support to get to and from the start and end of the route. Takes all the hassle and anxiety out of the walking so you can just enjoy the day and the route.

Attention to detail is amazing, with many thoughtful bits of advice and help. Summary of the whole route so you can gauge the difficulty and then on a daily basis to help you prepare. Lots of extra information about the route and history and information about the places you stay and pass through. Friendly and supportive yet not intrusive with lots of general advice about walking and weather and what you need to take with you. Able to flex the days and stay extra in places as well.
