We self organized a couple of days in Bilbao and then picked up the on-foot leg of our holiday which was 4 days walking and 4 nights in San-Sebastian to recover. Very well organised. Lots of good information before we went. Lovely walk and friendly accomodation. Particularly enjoyed the parador at Hondarribia. Weather a bit mixed but what we expected. Challenging walking on some days but we knew what to expect. Lovely to be in the hills without anybody else on 2 days. All arrangements went really smoothly including hotels, transfers and bag transfer. Nice to have restaurant bookings made ahead in the more remote locations. Lots of options on all the routes but we did the full route. Directions were great. Really enjoyed it and would do another walk. This was our first time on this kind of holiday although we have done trekking before in South America and Africa.

Very responsive and friendly service. Always really quick to answer any questions we had. Even when I was getting to grips with a Garmin Sat nav which I had never used before they helped me out with technical support and advice. The track routes for Garmin were accurate and helpful when we were in cloud. Everything worked exactly as expected and hoped for. Our in country contact (Aznar) was very helpful on WhatsApp and even added additional information in his messages on local customs and language which was really nice.

I hiked 4 days of the Camino dos faros, aka Lighthouse Way in early May. I was lucky and had perfect weather and temperatures those days. Communication from the time I booked until I returned home was without any issues and really appreciated.

On Foot Holidays made the trip seamless. All the details given to me before the hike and the app during the hike made me feel safe as a solo woman traveling alone,

Very good organisation from Onfootholidays. The hotels were all excellent. All very well located. The instructions for the walks were excellent, in the app and in the paper folder, and everything went smoothly.

It was superbly organised from start to finish, and quite simply the BEST holiday we have ever had. We got to experience true wilderness in beautiful Slovenia, and were superbly looked after on 6 consecutive nights, by all of the different hosts in each of the places we stayed along the walk. We would recommend this holiday to anyone who is reasonably fit, has a sense of adventure, and wants to discover a country that must still be one of the best-kept secrets in Europe.

A self guided 5 day walking holiday in the Ribeira Sacra region of Galicia, north west Spain. Excellent accommodation and varied daily routes.

Planning, organisation, information, communication, walking notes and new walking app all excellent. Cannot fault any aspect of the On Foot service. Very friendly team with first hand knowledge of the walk.

The Tuscany walk we enjoyed so much this year was even more enjoyable because in ‘23 we had to cancel at the last minute due to a health scare in the family. On foot Holidays were most accommodating in reorganising the trip for ‘24 and we are SO glad we re-booked. The depth of detail into which OFH goes in preparing for the trip, down to a bus timetable for a village bus ( 5 minute ride in a tiny Italian village) is symptomatic of the top quality of service provided by the company in all its client contact. We had modified the itinerary originally suggested for a ten days in Tuscany and again this was no problem for OFH. The trip we nominated was essentially a five day hike book-ended by a two day stay in both Siena to start and Montepulciano at the end. Walking through the visually stunning scenery was an absolute pleasure although on a couple of occasions we were exhausted by the climbs to our overnight accomodation towns perched on top of significant hills but we had been warned of these inevitable finales, especially at Montalcino. The Tuscany clay, which was another hazard the comprehensive track notes warned about, came into play on two separate days of walking. Walking poles, GPS navigation and hard copy maps helped us through by warning us of when to expect these extra hard sections and, more importantly, how far they would extend. Thankfully the accomodation each night was very satisfactory and we rested well and were able to start each day with clean and dry clothing…. A blessing. The hotel in Pienza stood out for its homely comfort level and outstanding views from our bedroom window. My wife and I have nothing but praise for OFH and the Tuscany walking trip we completed with their wonderful support from beginning to end.

This has been covered in my earlier words re the trip but can be summed up as follows: exemplary level of service backed by informed and courteous staff at all points of our discussions about the walk. Rapid response to emails and attention to detail are features of their work. On Foot Holidays are a company worthy of accolades for all aspects of their tours.

My husband and I hiked Tuscany for 7 days and it was so wonderful! We couldn’t believe all the information given to us! The walking tour instructions were so incredibly detailed, maps of each town, restaurant recommendations, history and information about each area visited, and our local contact was fabulous- frequent contact with updates of trail and route conditions and always replied promptly. The hotels were fabulous! Our suitcases were always waiting for us when we arrived at each destination. Everything was Flawless!!!

We booked a 4 day walking holiday in the Dordogne for late April/early May 2024. The weather was a bit rainy for some of the time but it did not take away from the fantastic trip. Every aspect of it was perfect and we loved the area and the accommodations/food.

On Foot Holidays has the entire experience so thoroughly planned out and organized - it was such a stress free relaxing, enjoyable experience from the day we booked until the day we finished. Their on-the-ground experts (Emily Stokeley!! so frendly and helpful!!) were lovely and their bookings in hotels and restaurants were spot on.

We spent 10 days walking the coast from Amalfi to Sorrento with a couple of rest days thrown in and just cannot fault any aspect of the trip, from the quality of the hotels we stayed in to the tour notes , the App , the background information on locations and points of interest , all added to the experience which was fantastic from start to finish.

Good communication , very flexible in terms of hotels etc when we wanted to upgrade or asked them to look at something different for us . Didn’t need to contact them at all during the trip but it was good to feel they would respond if we needed their help.
