What a wonderful trip we had - this is our fourth time out with On Foot and it was a great experience. We loved the accommodations and the yummy food. The vistas during our hike were stunning, the directions were spot-on - great job of checking in by Beatrice - and a special treat was staying mountain top at Mottarone! The dinner provided by Ivan and Sabina was a a very special treat included. First rate! We had a fabulous time! Planning for next year already! All

On Foot is very professional and responsive. They deliver as promised and your trip and personal well-being are in good hands. If you have never done a self-guided hike and are nervous, this is the company for you. They handle all the details and give guidance on pre and post side trips also!

This was our second tour with On Foot Holidays, our first being the Amalfi coast. We didn't think it could get better but it did. We hiked with our 16 year old and 23 year old sons, usually 21 km per day of sometimes muddy hiking due to the rains of late but none of it detracting from a fantastic experience with wonderful routes and amazing hosts. Everyone went out of their way for us and we could not have been more thrilled with the experience. Highly, highly recommend!

We will never travel with anyone but On Foot Holidays. We love the self guided experience and they are the best. All of the details were managed and the hosts were extraordinary along the way. 5 stars!

Village to village walking with beautiful countryside, small villages and gorgeous vistas.

On Foot Holidays provided excellent planning, lodging and transport of baggage. The combination of written route descriptions and GPS tracking with routes preinstalled made for error free wayfinding. Our overnight towns were charming.

2 walking trips - Umbria/Lazio and Piedmont/Liguria. Both took us on paths we would never have found ourselves, with interesting, varied and comfortable accommodation and excellent local meals. Historically interesting areas but also spectacularly beautiful.

Excellent response pre trip. Excellent route notes and careful instructions. Good support on the way. . And importantly, clear options on most days to shorten or alter the route if desired (with no judgement :))

We were a group of 6 doing a 4-day walk on The Lighthouse Way. Our trip was amazing! We were fortunate to have ideal weather too. We loved everything about the walk, the landscape, the food and lodging. The details provided to us prepared us for our trip prior to departure and for our daily walks. Our guide was available to us whenever needed and assisted us to keep us safe and happy.

We were sent packets with lots of excellent information prior to departure. Each day was well laid out. The trail was well marked as indicated in our daily route. Luggage was collected and delivered, as expected. Restaurant suggestions were provided and reservations were made with our choices. Our guide was available throughout our trip to answer any questions and provide assistance, as needed. Having the option to shorten a day by taxi was a great feature. Pricing for the trip was reasonable given the services provided. We are eager to do another trip next year!

Walking (not as part of an organised group) through beautiful countryside in Italy.

Exceptional, personal service with great attention to detail. As well as an opportunity to provide feedback, which the company was very keen to know so that they could actively take steps to improve the experience.

We walked Basque Pyrenees to San Sebastian. The daily routes were challenging but all achievable with some great places to stay and of course recommendations where to find excellent food in the evening. The walk had a purpose heading back to the coast and was meticulously planned from village to village through magnificent green Basque countryside. It’s yet another great job by On Foot in finding and mapping the route and also the charming small hotels and village houses each night.

On Foot are for us consistently the best walking holiday company with challenging routes with a sense of purpose, great places to stay of an interesting variety and good places to eat. They reply promptly when setting up the holiday and working through available dates and the knowledgable staff are all hugely helpful and a pleasure to work with.

We spent a week walking through the Dordogne Valley. The walks were nicely curated, taking us through woodlands, fields, valleys, ridges and medieval villages. Accommodations were small hotels and inns and ranged from basic to luxurious. The route notes provided by On Foot Holidays were, as usual, accurate and informative. Taken together with the detailed maps and GPS files they provided, it was impossible to get lost, even in remote areas where we went hours without seeing another person. While this is a self-guided tour, we didn't feel alone, as On Foot's helpful local contact, Emily, was always a text or phone call away to answer any questions.

This was our third trip with On Foot Holidays, and we would be happy to work with them again. I don't know how they manage to be so responsive and efficient with such a relatively small team. They always seem to respond to emails same day (often on weekends and after hours), and even though responses often come from different members of the team, each one seamlessly picks up where their colleague left off. I also particularly appreciate On Foot's truth in advertising. Walking can be a great way to spend a holiday, but there can be challenges along the way -- long journeys to reach the start of the route, muddy or slippery trails after rain, hotels that don't always have a big-city level of service or sophistication, etc. On Foot tries to be candid about what to expect, so we've never been unpleasantly surprised along the way.
