A 5-night walking holiday in south-east France. Organisation was first-class, and provision of walk guidance was very good. Generally the accommodation and food provided were excellent, although not always.

We had not come across On Foot Holidays before, but we were very impressed with their efficient and yet personal service. A large amount of useful information was provided to help us enjoy our holiday to the full.

This was 6 days of walking in the Apennines, on the Salt Route from Montalto Pavese in the high hills to Camogli on the coast, The walking was tough but worth ever step, the views were amazing and the countryside totally unspoiled. We stayed at small hotels/B&Bs where the welcome was always warm and the food lovely and plentiful. It was nice to walk meeting only the very occasional other traveller and we didn't hear another English voice until we reached Camogli. We stayed at a lovely boutique hotel in Camogli for 3 nights after the walk, a fitting reward after a our fantastic walk.

This was our 5th On Foot Holidays walk and we wouldn't go with any other company. They provide assistance in choosing a route and where to stay. They are always available for questions and everyone is so friendly whoever picks up the phone. The pack that is provided for the walk is really excellent, with clear travel information and timetables, the daily walking notes are clear and accurate, so we never go astray (but we do download the gps route that On Foot provide to our phones just in case- a good backup) and additional information is available about the towns/local history in the pack. I would recommend On Foot Holidays to anyone and frequently do. We are already planning our next walk with them.

We spent a week hiking and sightseeing in the hills and towns on the Amalfi Coast.

On Foot Holidays made everything easy so we could just focus on enjoying our trip. They booked all the hotels, provided transportation for luggage, provided local support to answer any questions and help if necessary. Their app helped immensely in navigating the maze-like hilly paths and local roads.

On Foot holidays organised the trip very well. The communication was excellent. They responded quickly and fully to any queries, gave lots of detailed information, and planning was good. It felt personal, like they really cared about whether we had a good holiday.

Very responsive and always in touch

We walked along the Rhine River for three days. We got to walk amidst the views river cruisers just watch from the river. Stayed in castles - great accommodations and good food. It was so organized - we just got to get up every morning and walk along trails and through towns with excellent directions and maps, all the while knowing we had reservations at the next place, often in a castle hotel and dinner plans waiting for us as well. It was energizing and relaxing at the same time. Nothing to worry about, just walk and see the sites.

Provided excellent written directions and the GPS app with maps was also very helpful. Plus loads more written information about the area we were walking in and the towns we were walking through. All accommodations and some dining taken care of completely for us. There was also a local guide just a text away in case we needed help.

OMG that was THE BEST trip I’ve ever taken. I have been to Greece probably around 45 times, my dad is Greek and I’ve gone every summer since I was a kid and sometimes I go in the spring as well. But I’ve never been to this area of Greece before. I am still thinking about the beauty of the land and villages, the friendliness of the people, the wonderful accommodations, the delicious food, and of course the (hard) but satisfying walks and hikes. Amazing. I think I will only travel through On Foot Holidays from now on! Everything was so well organzied, we just showed up at our accommodations and they were expecting us. We often wanted to start our walk early in the morning, our hosts were very willing to adjust our breakfast time or pack a breakfast for us. Such nice people. Thank you for everything. For the organized and very detailed walkers packet and for this lovely opportunity to visit this amazing area of Greece.

Inn to inn walking holiday in Slovenia with On Foot Holidays

Level of detail in all instructions is excellent and the service feels personal. We have used a number of walking companies for various locations but this was our fifth with On Foot Holidays because they consistently provide the best information, service and accomodation. We used to look for destinations then find a tour operator - now we just look at On Foot destinations.

Wonderful customised self-guided walking holiday through both the mountainous and Karst region of Slovenia. Excellent customer service from On Foot Holidays, they could not have been more helpful. The walking pack and all the supporting documentation was comprehensive and thorough. The new On Foot app was easy to use, accurate and an asset to guiding us on the correct path. The walks were correctly graded with varied landscape and spectacular reviews. The accommodation varied from tourist farm to hotel and all were of a good standard. The meals, which were largely included, were delicious.

All the staff at On Foot Holidays could not have been more helpful. All the documentation was excellent as was all the other aspects of the holiday. We will certainly use them again. Thank you
