Our holiday was spent bird and wildlife watching in Panama. We were based at the Canopy Tower, a unique accommodation from where sloths, monkeys and many birds could be watched at tree height.

We have been on several holidays with Naturetrek in the past and they have always been excellent. We will no doubt use them again in the future.

For location and wildlife experiences I have found Naturetrek to be second to none

Birding in the far north of Colombia, experiencing coastal and montane environments. Quite intense, plenty to see and enjoy, Excellent guides. Small group assures positive encounters.

A tour of the Ecuadorian Andes and Amazon with a focus on finding the birds of the region in wet rainforest and high Andes. It didn't disappoint, many good views of birds and especially of those I particularly wanted to see. A knowledgable and friendly local guide and a good group of likeminded individuals.

Everything was straightforward with information delivered in a timely fashion. On the couple of occasions of direct contact questions were answered in a warm friendly manner.

Naturetrek organised a fantastic two day extension for Stephen and I to visit the Maya ruins at Copan. Alex was our excellent birding guide so I was able to enjoy the ruins, which are renowned for their art, in the peaceful site surrounded by trees, while Stephen and Alex found plenty of birds in addition to the many colourful Scarlet Macaws. I loved our hotel La Casa de Cafe. We went on to join the successful birding group tour at Pico Bonito Lodge led by Olbin, another excellent guide.

Naturetrek have a very good website listing all their group holidays with availability, dates and prices. There are descriptions of previous trips providing detailed information. Naturetrek are very helpful if a tailor made extension is needed.

Just as described in the brochure, Kafunta River Lodge was right in the middle of the action! Wildlife viewing was no effort with the lodge being situated on a natural spring where animals and birds came to drink. The lodge was amazing, the chalets, the communal areas, the grounds, the food and all the staff were wonderful. And the guides who took us out on safari were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the local wildlife.

Naturetrek holidays always exceed expectations. They choose fantastic locations and accommodation and always ensure that you see as much as you can during your holiday
